C'mon Dimitrenko looked dumbfounded is this fight. Of course, a lot of this had to do with Chambers, but Dimitrenko had no plan B and never tried to adjust. In the end, he looked like an overhyped, outclassed fighter, riding on the coat tails of his fellow Ukranians. If this is Eddie's best victory, I would say that this is equivalent to Adamek's win over a post-prime O'Neill Bell. It's nice, but it doesn't exactly prove much. Like i said, Eddie has some proving to do, if you're going to reasonably pick him a clear favorite over a warrior like Adamek BTW. Adamek was never rocked by Dawson. I think you mean Cunningham, in that infamous 4th round.
No offense. I want you to know I respect your opinion, but I don't think Chambers is as slick as Dawson. And Dawson's only 26 or something like that.
Chambers best win was Sam Peter and he proved a lot in that fight. Adamek is unproven at HW and you'd have to make Chambers the favorite on that alone.
How is Chambers unproven? He's no longer a prospect. He beat Derrik Rossy when he was undefeated, Dominick Guinn, Brock, Peter, and Dimitrenko, that doesn't convince you he's a good boxer and be favored against Adamek? But I respect your opinion Chambers has a lot of proving to do and he has a lot more to do in his career. Oh and Adamek was getting hit with BOMBS by Dawson. You need to rewatch the fight.
Notice I said "if" that was his best win and in my earlier post I did state that formally the best name on his resume was Peter(thats who i meant when i wrote, " a win over an unmotivated African jelly donut). Peter gave a horribly unmotivated performance and the whole match was hard to bare. Performance wise, Dimintrenko is Eddie's best win imo. I also said earlier that Adamek would likely have to face at least 2-3 HW fighters before targeting Chambers.
Bombs that made him do what? Wink? I assure you, Adamek was never rocked by the likes of Dawson. Yes, he ate up many of Dawson's combos that night (the key word being ate), but was never stunned by a single punch. Rest assured, if someone like Banks threw all he had at Adamek and came up empty (watch 8th round and see what i mean), Chambers won't scratch Adamek's chin.
Dawson hit Adamek with everything but the kitchen sink, watch the 11th round when Dawson countered Adamek with a hard right hook to the temple, it had Adamek reeling. And now your opinions are getting ridiculous. Chambers won't make a scratch on Adamek's chin? lol, just lol. Again let me repeat myself, Chambers has proven power at heavyweight. He hurt Dimitrenko, he made Peter respect his punches, he hurt Brock and Povetkin. Granted Banks has heavyweight power, but Chambers is a much better boxer than Banks.
Chambers is a fake hero. He had his chance Vs. Povetkin but blew it. Vlad will knock him out, watch and see.
Bull****. He had the balls to put it all on the line against a high risk opponent and lost. Big deal. He's recovered from that and although he's not undefeated, with wins over Peter, Dimitrenko, Guinn and Brock, he has much better wins that Povetkin does. If anything, Chambers deserves respect for the hard path that he chooses when he could've gone 45-0 beating up cans until someone gave him a title shot. By the way, this is not hating on Povetkin or anything, but recently he has not impressed and his weight has gone up, while Chambers is the opposite on both counts. Rightfully or not, but often you really are as good as your last fight.
Dude , seriously lets face it dimitrenko was an overhyped fraud with no heart no chin and no power his only advantage was the size and he didnt know how to use it, ofcorz chamberz did very well and did the job in impressive style but u re getting a little bit delusional in ur comments , idk wot do u mean by "very good power" but im telling u that if this fight ever happens with adamek weighing around 100-105kg the only guy who could be knocked out is ur hero eddie chambers ,cuz power and d chin re adameks hallmark now , eddie has the speed and very good technique, but he couldnt knock out guys with much worse chins and u re tellin me he would break the granite one? and the guy aint for sure as skilled as dawson is, have u even seen adamek-dawson bout? dawson won the fight with his great ring movement and chambers cant really move like that actuallly i would say that his ring movement is what he does d worst and that is why he has no big chance against wlad so objectively i say its a 50/50 bout really depends on how would chambers do in d later rounds cuz adamek usually starts slow to pull the trigger later so a "late ko" would be more likely scored by adamek ,altough i can also see chambers outboxing him on the distance
Chambers is quick for HW division, but while comparing to Adamek this factor wouldn't be so meaningful. Adamek has got nice acceleration as well, also good chin, so I would predict a KO, cuz I believe there would be many punches thrown hus I pick Adamek for sure, he will be only stronger if he goes up to HW division, about speed I'm calm he keeps throwin as quick as in CW.
I don't know how I'm delusional, Chambers has good power, the only reason why it's not really evident is because of his low work-rate (even Klitschko throws a good amount of punches), but when he does let his hands go it is evident such as when he fought Dimitrenko. As for Adamek, he's never fought as a heavyweight, we don't know how his chin would be in the HW division, we don't know how he would react when Chambers hits him, but most likely your hero would get outboxed or tkoed from accumulation. As for the comparison to Dawson, I would say Dawson is better offensively, but Chambers is better defensively.
