Should there be an end to catch weights regarding PACMAN??

We only give credit to PAc for beating Marquez lol. Everyone else was either shot, past it, or beaten up and ripe for the picking. Pac's resume is over blown by his fans. He's been ko'd twice in 3 rounds, and made his name beating "past it" fighters...

 

just like we dont want to see floyd fighting lightweights so mayweather can fight marquez at a catchweight but when pac ask for cotto to come down couple of pounds, its not fair?

 

Pac can't go above 148/49. Cotto has the ability to bloat up to 160 on fight night. Technically that means you could have Cotto coming in on fight night with a 12 pound weight advantage. That's the danger for Pac in having it at 147. Fighting Mayweather at 147 would be fine as Mayweather comes in the same weight and doen't re-hydrate which is the way it should be.

 

excuses excuses.. pac fought the best in most of the weight class he was in. Now his fighting miguel cotto who mayweather had no balls to face:rofl He came back to challenge a lightweight instead of fighting a welterweight:rofl

 

PAc has never fought anyone at a catchweight, stop bitching. This is the first fight that he will be fighting at a catchweight.

 

Cotto's never weighed 160 on fight night.

He comes in at 158 give or take a lb.

Im not talking about Floyd fighting Pac at 147. Im not about Floyd fighting other WWs. Why dont I see you making the same post for Mayweather that you do for Pac?

Well its easier to go up than it is to go down but Floyd should of fought Marquez at 140.

 

They're meeting halfway to make the fight even. If pac fights cotto at 147 then he is on a disadvantage that's why a catchweight of 143-144 is fair.

Not when Cotto would kill himself to make that weight. His nutritionist said 145 is the lowest he can go and thats his limit.

The reason its different is because Floyd weighs even less than Pacquaio.

Floyd stated he was down to 146/147 already. That means he's going to add like 2-3lbs from 144. While Marquez said they are going to bulk from 140 (what he weighed)

So they might even weigh the same on fight night.

While Pac-Cottos weights are going to remain the same no matter if its at 145 or 147 even 143.
The difference will be how much Cotto hurt himself draining all that weight.

 

It's not a matter of doubting himself, it's a matter of balancing the situation. 147 is COTTO's domain, definitely the bigger man while PAC is still acclimatizing himself to 140. You want the fight where COTTO is of the edge instead of them meeting halfway. You really are on a mission for PAC's destruction. Obviously, you are not an objective fan of the sport! yeah, when there is a catchweight it means they really should not be fighting because one or the other cannot fight at the correct weight. If he cannot make 147 then he should fight at 140. If there is a catchweight, that means everytime that Pacman fights someone his opponent will be weakened by making weight.

 

Boxing has way too many weight divisions already. Pac needs to pick one of them and fight at the weight of the division not some stupid catch weight crap. It is a joke and a farce and it cheapens the sport.
