My work is done here. Onepunch pretty much shattered the thoughts of any ******* asking for a catch weight of 143 wth Cotto's title on the line. They say ww is from 141-147 yet why ask Cotto to come in at a certain weight. Your weak arguments are that "if cotto" agrees lol, then it should be fine. Money talks, and bullshite is what PAc is giving us.

No, Pac won't fight Floyd because Floyd made himself unavailable. Twice. Can't blame Floyd though, fighting Pac as the first fight back from a layoff isn't exactly wise.

This fight will happen mid to late next year because Pac won't win an election.

I think everyone is kind of over-reacting. Hopkins has catchweights all over his resume.

They should put a stop to this re-hydrating above the limits then they wouldn't have to have catchweight fights..

I don't believe it's right that someone who fights at the WW division can come into the fight at 160. The division is from 141 to 147. 147 IS THE LIMIT.

There is something wrong with the system. It's basically almost bending the rules to the point of cheating. Being a 160 fighter and fighting in a division with a limit of 147.

Obviously we cannot go back to same day weight ins because of the health implications but there must be another solution.

I say have the Pac-Cotto fight at 147 but put a cap on how much Cotto can bloat his body. That seems fair enough to me as he should not be coming in at 160 for a WW fight anyway.

I think Pacquiao should get a chance to take on the top WW first, and then after that he should go back to his weightclass.

The honest answer is that this is not good for the sport. Look, boxing will be here long after pac is gone. I cant understand why so many people dont get it. Its very simple. If pac wants to move up and challenge for a title in his 7th division, then he should just do that instead of trying to re-work the division weight limit to suit his own needs. And if he cant handle fighting a 147 pounder, then he shouldnt be fighting for a 147 lb title.

If I were pacs promoter, first of all I would have him clean out 140. I wouldnt risk a loss against a bigger fighter just yet, when there is still plenty of money to be made. He is already a multi-millionaire, so his financial needs are already taken care of. Theres no need for him to be in the "cash-out" mentality at this point. I would do 2 or 3 fights at 140, which would probably exceed $20-25 million total, and THEN look for 1 or 2 fights at 147 to call it a day.

In the eyes of a handful ESB posters, Pac is an exception. He's not entitled to fight in a catchweight. As if their opinions are important for this fight to materialize.

Cotto barely escaped 140 without a loss, and almost decimated himself making weight, and you guys want him to agree to fight Pac at 143 or 145, and put his title on the line with 8 ounce gloves??? Fuk out of here.

There is no glove advantage between these two fighters. Second, Cotto will be a bit dehydrated if he has to make 143 or 145. Cotto weighing in at 146 against Clottey has no bearing on Cotto easily making 145 becuase he may come in at anything below 145 or 145 on the dot. WW's of Cotto's size need every pound to make 147.

You want a man to put up his title at his weight, don't ask him to weigh in at a certain weight...just fight him, and stop caring about some sort of size advantage Cotto supposedly has. The supposed best fighter in the world according to Pac's fans and Hollywood shouldn't worry about fighting at 147 against a man he is better than.
