This thread is messed up. I'm I getting that A. Povetkin is fighting someone other than Wlad and B. Teddy Atlas is going to train him?

I don't see either Chambers or Povetkin beating Wlad.

 

Povetkin was good enough to win an Olympic gold medal and defeat Byrd and Chambers without Atlas. If you go down the line you'll see that all of his charges: LaLonde, Muriqi, Moorer, Grant, Maske ...etc always fall out with Teddy. To put it simply, Teddy Atlas seems mentally unstable. Povetkin was not going to beat Wlad anyway, but he could have picked up a vacant strap somewhere down the road. Now his career will likely be ruined or put off track because of Teddy Atlas.

 

Povetkin has to be ready for the December 12th IBF Mand fight. If he wants to fight before then, thats up to him. Wlad will not fight chambers first or instead of unless he is guaranteed by the IBF that he wont be stripped. Wlad has to fight Chambers next year anyway as WBO mand. No need to rush that fight.

IMO if povetkin pulls out the IBF will strip the #1 ranking and will make Wlad fight the #2 guy which is Arreola

 

well Atlas can have povetkin fight in sept like he said that would still be 2 1/2 -3 months befor he would have to face Wlad. It would be tight, but it could be done

 

I feel bad for Povs, Atlas will "recreate him", ride the wave for a few fights and then duck out at the first sign of trouble.

Wladimir, Manny, and HBO want a Arreola fight anyway so I think will cut a deal with Povetkin it's gonna be Arreola , Povetkin then Chambers in that order:deal

 

HBO and MANNY say that... NOT Wlad. It will all come down to what the IBF wants or is willing to do.. then Wlad will decide who to fight
