Just watched Gatti-Ward 1

Them two guys damn it's emotional watching that. Some great quotes from Frank Cappicino such as ''you don't use your head to box Arthur'' and when he could of stepped in to stop the fight in round 9 but knew Gatti was to proud to go and knew he could come back that says it all about Gatti. Some say Corrales-Castillo round 10 is greatest round in recent memory but i think Round 9 in this equal to it.....Chico and Thunder god bless ya both boys.

 

I watched that HBO special on the 3 Marquez-Vasquez fights, very entertaining.

Yeah, all 3 fights were on Showtime and then they made that documentary you watched.

 

Just finished Witter Vs Kotelnik I had Witter by 2 rounds not a bad fight could have went either way. He was timing Witter great in the 8th and 9th if he gets Khan like that i think the fights over.

Might watch Kotelnik vs Maidana to see if he still got the timing.

 

I had Kotelnik winning by 1 or 2 points - he started slow, but he really got into it in the end, that is why I worry for Khan.

He had no troubling timing witter. After watching this I'm edging Andriy by TKO after 6 rounds providing no dodgy stoppage. Wasn't a bad fight i thought. There were a few rounds i thought could go either way not a robbery like some make it out to be close fight

 

Gaz what did you think of marquez vs Vasquez 1 and 2. I think there overrated.

dont have enough time to watch fights but im trying to convince my boss so i can take my own tv and dvd player into my work

 

Yep, I think you're right mate. They were good but not great fights IMHO, I can't believe Marquez ended up 1-2 down in that 3 fight series!!

 

i do think there overrated the first ones better thn the 2nd IMO but the 3rd is amazing

I think the Vasquez Marquez trilogy goes in thsi order for me
Gold:3rd Fight
Silver:2nd Fight
bronze:1st Fight (finished a little early for me...good fight none the less)

I love the documentary of Marquez Vasquez...the way Marquez is moaning about paying bills and moaning about where the press conference is taking place.

 

A very good fight. Technically brilliant in fact, counter punching at its finest, high intensity. Physically Casa isn't as strong or as quick as he once was, ... but class is permanent.
