Should there be an end to catch weights regarding PACMAN??

Pac has not fought anybody at catchweight! the ODLH fight was fought at 147, the WW limit but Pac weighed at 142 against Oscar's 145 at the official weigh in! Pac is getting too much criticism for something he has not done yet!:huh

 

Pac is rumored to be asking for a fight with Cotto at 143, so that is what we are going on Mr. This fight has not been made for a reason, and an agreed upon weight is one of the reasons...

Medgeon indeed was the draw as the fight was held in Thailand. Pac had actually outgrown the fly limit and was stripped of the belt even before the fight for his failure to make the weight.

 

Why did Pac fight, and do have footage of this fight? I need to see if making weight killed Pac in this fight, and I also want to see if making weight affected his performance.

That's not a rumor. Pac is really asking it at 143 but the point is he has not done any fight at catchweight yet he is already being criticized too much.

 

We saw how it affected Dlh, we saw how it affected Austin, Tarver, Jones and a bunch of fighters...we should be able to see if it affected Pac.

 

Pac's a beast. No way did it affect Pac.

 

He's being criticized for this. He beat an inferior Diaz, he beat a shot Dlh, and a Hatton many think was done. Now he is asking for a fight with a ww champ at 143...so why should Pac be above criticism?

What is purpose of Floyd or Marquez winning at 143 then? It's not even a title fight. Why do we watch it even if it is a seemingly a lopsided fight? I watch it because Floyd gave Marquez a fighting chance by going down in weight. And I think I watch it for the love of boxing. Same w/ Cotto-Pac fight. Why should I watch this fight at a catchweight? It's because I love boxing especially so if there is a level playing field. You even up the fight by taking away the undue advantages of another fighter. It is not the belt that Pac will be winning. It is boxing itself.

 

It should be at 140. Although coming UP is easier than going down.

And going down is not an issue for Floyd who already stated he is weighing 146/147. Cutting 2-3lbs (6-7lbs should be NO issue with Floyd) It should be at 140.

What undue advantages does Cotto get? Weight advantage? That if he doesn't come in drained at 145 will be the same at 147?

The only reason this fight isn't taking place at 146/147 where we know Cotto is fine. Is because Pac and team wanted Cotto at less than 100%.
