I'm not trying to weed you out guys. But I am curious as this thing has gained such a positive and the anticipation will be a breaking point come Oct 10.

So, any of you against it?

Probably fans of SMWs that were left out, ie Bute & CO. This tourney has the potential to do a lot for boxing!

I'm a fan of Bute and I'm all for the tourney.

Since Interbox lost its Diaconu belt.. they sure as hell won't risk Bute getting 3 defeats.

I'm a fan of Bute but this is a good tournament for boxing with or without him.

I am just in disbelief that so many quality fighters are actually going to fight each other for the right to be called the best!

Agree with all saying this is the best thing to happen for boxing in a long, long time.

I'll also add that this could be what makes Showtime eclipse HBO as a boxing broadcast network.

I'm not against it per se BUT I have doubts about how successful it will be. You will have an occassion, maybe two, when 2 fighters who have lost their last fight meet and the interest will fade.

Also, how many times do I want to see Dirrell and Ward be beaten as I think will happen quite often?

I think in theory it is a decent idea but it should be 8 guys straight KO rather than a round robin contest which could inflict some awful fights on us.

There's no way any real fan would be against this type of tournament. I just hope it gets the response it deserves so we can see more of these in the future.

It possible that towards the end we might have one or at a push two dead rubbers, but that has to be worth it to watch the best bunch of SMW fighting each other.

It would be interesting to find out who was offered a place but said no!

It's not Europe against the US but if you look at it from a ''SHOWTIME perspective'', they did make the tournament with in mind to market 3 boxers with good credentials and a drawing potential from the US as well as the best available European guys at 168.

Bute is fighting out of Canada, Andrade is a notch under Taylor, Dirrell and Ward talent wise and other guys like Bika, Balszay etc., are not American and not the top 3 available Euros.....

It's as simple as that !!
