Hard to say, the two americans are untested but skilled, but i dont think they win. There could be some surprising outcomes with them though. Abraham will have it hard to win any decision (maybe against Froch), so he will have to carry his power up to 168. If he does, he has a chance to win, and i would make him an favorite over all, minus Kessler. Taylor has to prove he can fight for the full 12, if he cant he is toast vs Abraham. But he wont win this tourney, win against AA or not. Froch is a little bit overrated at the moment. He won against a fighter who ran out of stamina. It wouldnt surprise me if gets beaten in the first fight. Overall, if Kessler is in top shape, he has an excellent chance to win.
I think Taylor can do it,if he gets stamia right,But i like ward, never seen him before until the other day i will be throwing a few euro on him as a out side bet
Do u really think he has to get lucky to beat Taylor? AA lasted great part of a fight with a broken jaw against a tough guy in Miranda, probably as tough as Taylor... in their rematch Miranda was outclassed by AA, and NO, Taylor hasn't proved he's any better than Miranda, IMO.
Kessler and Dirrell in the finals. Kessler to win. Call me crazy but I think Dirrell is the real deal... We'll see...
People really need to drop this crap about Jermain's stamina. The man has been 12 rounds 9 freaking times, and was 14 seconds from making it 10 times. BHop X 2, Pavlik, Winky, and Froch -14 seconds. Who the hell did Abraham ever go 12 with that compares with JT; LuJaun Simon? Shannon Taylor? Jantuah?
My god, how good is that - im all tears! To anybody who doubt Kesslers condition - he's a traning maniach and he's never out of condition!
Yes, Jermain has proven he can go 12 rounds. But I think why Jermain's tendency to tire in the championship rounds is salient here is because if the fight goes Jermain's way it will likely go to the late rounds. Jermain has pop, but Abraham has a tested jaw and fairly tight defense, thus it would likely go the distance. Jermain can and has been hurt, and Abraham certainly has the power to make that happen again; therefore, if the fight goes Abraham's way it could end early. If the fight goes Taylor's way, he will have to keep boxing in the late rounds in which he has been shown to tire. It seems to me that with Abraham's defensecentric style, he would have plenty of energy left to retain his one-punch knockout power (Admittedly, I have watched few of Abraham's fights, but I don't think there is any reason to suspect him of tiring.) At which point Abraham could put the screws to Jermain. I'm not saying Jermain cannot win the fight. In fact I would say he is certainly the more skilled of the two. But, I think his tendency to tire in the late rounds is an variable in this matchup which cannot be ignored.
What exactly do they "win" with this tournament? It seems without any kind of incentive, this "tournament" will fall apart quickly when greener pastures present themselves.
Kessler, would be my first pick! but i fear his inactivity could cause him trouble in the first couple fights, but when he get the ring rust off he have the best chance to go all the way! Have a feeling that Froch will come out as the big loser in this tournament!
