    He had yet to fight at 147. :lol: That'd like be using an article from when Floyd was fighting at 135 and preparing to move up to 140. :patsch

    I don't insist it, when's the last time I said that? I said after there's no way he's walking around at 150. Then someone else came in that he walks in the low 150s-mid 150s. That can I see.

    Because he went down 1lb from the DLH fight to the Hatton fight (only a half lb according to HBO website)

    Floyd walks around and currently is going to fight at a lower weight than Pac is currently weighing

    :hi:

    :lol::lol: It mattered to him.

    Floyd is currently walking around LOWER than what Manny weighed in his last fight.

    That matters.

    Floyd weighs less than Pac :deal

    easy solution.....if these bigger guys cant make weight....then pick on guys their size......
    all they want to do is to cash in on the pac sweepstakes because hes a naturally smaller guy whos gonna get beat sooner or later by one of these natural welters

    Here you again w/ your personal opinion and biases. You've been proven wrong w/ the material you posted that championship fights can be held "up to 147" and you still insist that it should be on 147. Don't you understand that 147 is the upper weight limit of the welter division? Don't you understand that a champtionship fight can be held within the weight range of 141-147? The material about WBO rules you posted clearly said so and here you are pontificating about your personal opinion on your own interpretation of the rules. **** off now, Mr. Self-Proclaimed Caretaker of Boxing.

    Glad to hear that you're a thinker. At least I'm now assured that once in a while you can come up with something sensible as any thinking man should.:good

    So if you'd be successful, a WW champ should weigh exactly 147 lb in defending his title and if he'd weigh less than that, say, 146.5 lb, he would be stripped of his title? If this would be the case, what the use of having divisions in boxing?

    jesus christ are people really this ****ing stupid? 34 pages and they still dont understand a very simple concept.............

    Look, what it means is if you are going to challenge for a WW title, your opponent may weigh up to 147 pounds. It further means that you should not be able to take any action or demand that would reduce that 147 cap down to a lower number to suit your own needs or preferences.

    In plain english that means that the bout contract for a WW title fight would say "at or below 147 pounds" when referencing weight. It would NOT say "at or below 144 pounds", or "at or below 145.25 pounds", or any other number other than "at or below 147 pounds".

    I agree with your take regarding catch weight fights.... I would like to know your take on ring size..... I am totally against stipulations that ask for a bigger or a smaller size.... I think (in professional boxing) it should be only one size and everybody should play by them.... what's your opinion?
