When 19 year old Duran fought Marcel,he weighed 128 and Marcel weighed 129 1/2,so technically, they fought at superfeatherweight.

Are there many 140 pounders who could have defeated Arguello on that night?? He looked great & gave a hell of an effort. Liston & Marciano both had relativly short title reigns. & both are regarded very highly.

Regardless of the steroids issue (which I do not condone) there is no doubting Pryor's ability & talent! Yes, he is an all-time great but probably did not achieve all he could because if drug addiciton & other things in his life!

    Pryor was a brilliant fighter!

Rewatched the II Pryor/Arguello fight last night. Pryor was a natural born scrapper, a junkyard dog. Nowhere near the textbook skills of an Arguello or other state-of-the-art technicians, not his thing. But he was a workhorse, and it was effective.

YES YES YES YES YES. the guy dominaged against every fighter he faced, he has great wins, amazing movement, speed, power, chin, stamina, heart. The guy is the definition of warrior and its widely confirmed that Leonard wanted no part of him. ATG for sure!

I can accept the fact that Leonard was trying to get bigger fight's, so he didn't fight Pryor. But it really pisses me off that he finally said he wanted to fight Pryor before the Kevin Howard fight in 84 when Pryor was clearly past his best.

...i don't rate ray leanord (i keep the "sugar ray" for robinson only) as highly as many do, but the idea that he would have trouble with pryor before pryor's peak, during his peak or after his peak is foolish.

any really good fighter at his best weight around that of pryor's would beat him. pryor's management knew it and pryor knew it.

in that case Holyfield`s achievements mean nothing.Hes surely a possible cheater

Roy Jones is a proven cheater ,so he must be rubbish.

i know what your getting at but are you really gonna throw the baby out with the bathwater?? is every fighter that worked with Lewis a possible cheat??
