They are both top2 fighters in their divisions, and actually the top3-4 heaviest US fighters at present time. They have one common opponent in Adamek. Who wins assuming their weight will be comparable ~185-190lb.
Cunningham would win i think.. Only because i think Dawson wouldn't fair well there... I mean, the guy could make 160 imo. 168 for sure. Cunningham would be to big for him.
188 - that was Cunningham typical weight 3-4 years ago now he is 195 and loosing 10 lb shouldn't be a big deal especially just for the official weight in. On the other hand Chad is 6.1 same as Adamek so he can easily build up about 10-15 lb so the only real difference is that Cunningham is 2 inches taller ... which was not a big problem for Adamek. So ... is Cunnigham bigger threat for Dawson than Adamek?
Even with Chad's Bad chin ... Cunningham is no puncher, and Chad is too fast to be caught like in Adamek's fight. I think it will be more technical UD type win ... whoever it takes.
i really like USS, but Dawson would whoop him at catchweight. they're about the same size and Dawson is faster, more technically sound, and is a slick fighter. good fight though.
