pac is becoming a primadona now.. ive always thought of him as a fighter who doesnt fear anyone.. but this catch weight at 143 that he is asking of cotto is stupid.. well it might not be him who wants this probably the people around him.. 145 for cottos belt is not that fair let alone 143, if pac really wants to be greatest fighter fight for a welter weight title, fight these welters and allow them on the lmit of the welter, damn im disapointed now. this just gives his haters more excuses
I agree, Pac can weigh 143 if he wants but the title is for who's who at 147, not anything below. If Pac wants to fight Cotto at 143 or 145 then that's fine, but it shouldn't be for the title.
right i mean i love the guy but this is just stupid id rather see him fight a top contender at 140 than ask cotto or mosley to go down to 143, 145 lbs was fine cotto agreed to it and was willing to stake his title, but is asking too much..
That's the problem of just being a fan or a hater of fighter and not the sports. You have limited analogy. I myself is not happy about this catchweight craps . . . unfortunately this is legal and allowed in the books of all boxing governing bodies. So what can we do? As to Pac . . . he doesn't fear anyone up to this point . . . but like all fighters he is bounded by physical limitations and everybody including you and the haters should realize that. With the p4p #1 ranking at stake . . . why would he take the unnecessary risk while there are ways to make the fight more even? That's being stupid. Pacquiao will not beat Cotto or Mosley if they weigh in at 147 . . . Pac has reached his max at 140 . . . you have to live with that.

In all honesty, **** the belts. Cotto should be allowed to weigh-in normal, Pac can weigh......102lbs who cares. & **** it whatever happens. (Cotto wins by KTFO)

Yeah he is reluctant to go more that 140 because he knows his limit . . . after six divisions? What more can you ask for?
i was just thinking that. look at DLH. he weighed in more for the sturm fight at 160 than he did for hopkins and it didn't help him; he weighed closer to his ideal for the hopkins fight and he performed much better. the 4 extra pounds on manny won't help him, nor will the 4 extra pounds on cotto hurt manny that much either. they should both weigh in at their BEST weights. for cotto it's 147 for manny it's max 143. the only rule should be they weigh no more than 147. more weight doesn't mean better and they don't have to weigh the same.
BTW, In all honesty I don't think Pac gives 2 ****s what weight this fight happens at. I'm convinced it's his business peep's who just want to give him all the possible advantages they can. (Which in all honesty is their job) That said, Arum is a ***** for not putting his foot on the roach and saying all this catchweight bull**** if garbage. Just make the fight @ ww, let Cotto be him & Pac be Pac. (Someone get's KTFO and then goes on to fight the PBF/JMM winner...simple)
