just let me know if you've gotta catch the shortbus to elementary school. what you said, kosaros, was that mosley didn't do **** in his win against margarito. all i said was cotto softened him up for shane. obviously shane did a lot against margarito as he thoroughly whooped his ass from pillar to post. which, you would have seen had you watched the fight.

I made a point yesterday and i'm wondering whther you agree with it doublepaidinum

If Mosely had a tune up now and fought Cotto in 3 months he would be Cotto

I watched both fights jackass. By the way stop altering what you said in the past, because you did not say 'Cotto softened him up', you effectively said he was the reason for Mosley's emphatic win.

As the thread title states, Joe Calzaghe is the greatest of all time and there is no doubting this obvious fact. He is so underestimated that some sick individuals (probably 'bad' Chad Dawson fans) don't even rate him as the greatest Brit fighter of all time. To be honest I don't know how those people sleep at night. I mean Calzaghe has all the attributes needed to be the best:

Does he have a granite chin? Yes
Does he have the heart of a lion? Yes
Does he have power in both hands? Yes
Does he have lightning fast speed in both his hands and movement? Yes
Does he have unmatched stamina resources? Yes

Plus, added to all of these attributes, he has an unmatched resume of a stunning variety of fighters, ranging from fellow hall of fame legends like Hopkins to the greatest prospects like Lacy. Here is a breakdown of just some of the fighters Calzaghe defeated with ease:

Chris Eubank: Eubank is a world class British fighter that held the WBO world title as Middleweight for numerous years and was seen as the first test to Calzaghe. Oh how everyone was wrong, Calzaghe took his first chance of world glory by flooring the iron chinned Eubank in the very first round en route to a very convincing decision. Thus the legend began his incredible super-middleweight title run.

Robin Reid: Another world class British fighter for Calzaghe to fight. Reid had only lost one fight coming into the Calzaghe fight and was at his very peak (past his peak he 'beat' Ottke, although was robbed). He provided to be a challenge for cetain parts of the fight, yet Calzaghe for the most part outboxed his opponent with just one hand! Yes, Calzaghe had injured his other hand so had to beat a world class opponent with one hand and that is exactly what he did and very convincingly he did it as well.

Mario Veit: This unbeaten German tank was the physically bigger fighter when he and Calzaghe met and was very much reported to have a chin just as good as Calzaghe's. Due to Calzaghe finding this disrespectful to his own chin, he knocked out Veit in the very first round, which resulted in his chin turning to glass. Calzaghe won a return fight in similar devastating fashion.

Byron Mitchell: The heavy-handed American came into the fight and was actually the first person to floor Calzaghe in his entire career. Yet this was just mind games from Calzaghe and he lured Mitchell into a false sense of security and unleashed the power to knock Mitchell out.

Jeff Lacy: Dubbed as the next 'Tyson', Lacy came into the Calzaghe fight as the favourite due to the power he had displayed in knocking out previous Calzaghe victim, Reid who had never touched the canvas before. The fight however turned out to be a mismatch, as Calzaghe proved to utterly destroy his opponent by landing an unprecedented 1009 punches and win every single minute of every round. Calzaghe had secured his legacy, but was only warming up.

Mikkel Kessler: After routine wins against very good competitors Sakio Bika and Peter Manfredo, Calzaghe decided to unify the division he had dominated for so many years. Kessler was the opponent in the opposite corner who was unbeaten, younger and the boxing journalists favourite for the fight. Calzaghe was to prove them wrong yet again though as he outworked and outboxed his opponent to a very convincing decision in front of over 50,000 fans in the unmissable super fight of the ages.

Bernard Hopkins: It was now time to crack America and Calzaghe decided to fight Hopkins who was regarded as one of the p4p best in the world, and even moved up in weight to make the fight happen/ Although Hopkins tried his best to stop the Calzaghe whirlwind, Calzaghe again was the victor as he outworked his opponent, who in the end was hanging on for dear life.

Roy Jones Junior: Roy Jones Junior was regarded by some as the best of the generation, whilst Calzaghe was also regarded as the best of the generation. To find out who truly was the best of the generation they met in a super fight. Calzaghe gave Roy Jones the biggest beating of his life (although was kind enough to let him hear the final bell) and due to the manner of this victory, Calzaghe was not only the greatest of his generation, but the greatest of all time. Fact!

So that is the stellar company that Calzaghe boxed in and he beat them all in very convincing fashion. So how would he have fared against some of the all-time greats? Well I have selected a few all-time greats and given my unbiased view as to who would be the victor in these p4p match-ups:

Sugar Ray Robinson: Robinson is without a doubt behind only Calzaghe as the greatest fighter to ever live. Yet losses to journeyman do not help his cause in a match-up to Calzaghe and he even lost to Randolph Turpin who only just about scrapes into the top 10 Brit fighters of all time! Calzaghe with his superior stamina would outwork Robinson to a close, but clear descision in 12 rounds a very clear decision over 15.

Muhammad Ali: 'The greatest' is very much the greatest heavyweight of all time, yet it is hard to envisage him beating Calzaghe. Firstly an opponent like Ken Norton gave Ali all the trouble he could handle and Calzaghe is very much superior to Norton, meaning the trouble Norton caused (which included a victory in their first encounter) would be multiplied by 10 and Calzaghe would win a decision as he outworks Ali.

Roberto Duran: Possibly the greatest lightweight of all time, but he did struggle with Hearns who had a superior reach and kept Duran at bay, making him ineffective and useless. Hearns then ended the fight in the 2nd round. Due to Calzaghe possessing the same type of concussive power as Hearns, he could do a similar job, although I would suspect he would carry Duran until the middle rounds at least, due to Calzaghe's good nature.

Sugar Ray Leonard: Leonard was one of the finest welterweights of all time and possessed fantastic hand speed that could get him out of trouble. Yet it was shown in the Hearn's encounters that he can be outboxed by a fighter with a superior reach and height advantage, which Calzaghe would possess in the match-up, and he can be drawn into a fight as seen in the first Duran fight, which would be playing right into Calzaghe's gameplan. Due to these factors Calzaghe would win a wide unanimous decision.

Rocky Marciano: Another fighter who retired with an unblemished record, although he fought in what was a weak era and was getting outboxed by an old Walcott until he found the punch to stop Walcott. Due to Calzaghe possessing an iron chin, the flat footed Marciano could not play his 'get out of free' card and would comprehensively be outboxed, although his chin should hold up to let him lose only by a desision.

So those are some of the all-time greats, how about matching him up with a current fighter fighting around Calzaghe's weight?

Chad Dawson: What is the point in compairing? Calzaghe wins whenever and however he wants.

So there you have it, I have proven Calzaghe is the GOAT and there is now no denying it with these facts being displayed right in front of you. :good

i said he was the reason mosley knocked him the **** out. without the cotto beating, margarito walks through shane's shots just lke everyone else's. you really think shane would knock out margarito and not cotto if there wasn't some other factor?
