If all four SMW champs were in a tourney who would unify the division?

It would come down to Kessler and Bute, which is a very good fight.

Froch seems to be like Andrade - only with a little added 'omphff'.

If Bute could hardly handle Andrade, I don't know what Froch would do to him.

I am a fan of Bute, but let's be reasonable here. Froch is undefeated and knocks people out - even abroad. Bute has never even had a serious fight abroad. If they met in Canada I think it would be 50/50. IF they met in England, I think we would have to say 65-35 for Froch.

.. also given that Bute's best opponent in nowhere as good as Froch's best opponent - and while Froch KOed his best opponent, while Bute was seconds from being KOed by a lesser opponent.

There is a key difference between Froch and Andrade in that Andrade punches a lot more often. Carl Froch was reknowned through his career at British level as a lazy fighter, that did a lot of posing, a lot of hands down, a lot of throwing looping power punches but not much consistent work.

He barely even got into the fight until 6 rounds against Taylor.

I don't know whether Bute would gas against that, or not. Let's be honest, the only reason that happened to Bute was because he was tired. It wasn't a defence/punch resistance thing IMO.

    Let's also be honest:

If we pick four from the super six (eg. KESSLER, FROCH, ABRAHAM and TAYLOR) they are a stronger bunch than Bute, froch, kessler and balzay.

Kessler and Froch are already in; Bute is imo. similar level and could have been in (but rumours claim that his management were afraid of the stiff competition because he is their only name fighter they have right now), balzay is a level below the rest imo.

Agreed; Balzsay is not special. Solid fighter but I don't seem him causing anybody problems. His footwork is beyond poor, he could fight the entire fight on one spot and just throw his arms.

    Sakio Bika ;)

In all seriousness Kessler would be favourite.

I would like to see Froch v Bute

Kessler and Froch are better than Bute.

In fact, they're much better imho.

This is my underdog pick for the tourney...Yes I said it!

Andre Ward will be the next smw king and beat anyone at 168!

Mikkel Kessler imo. I believe he has what it takes to beat Bute by decision or even late TKO
