Floyd has become a completely different fighter at Welter and we have no idea how Pryor would perform at the weight against great opposition. With that being said Floyd is a master counter puncher who could feast on Aaron's aggression, but Aaron pressure would force Floyd into compromising positions making him back himself into the corner in the ropes where he definately doesn't want to be.

Mayweather UD, based solely on the weight.

Pryor would knock Void out. Styles make fights and Pyror was the wrong style for Void. Void refused to fight Pac, Cotto, Margarito, Mosely, etc.

 

Easy fight for Mayweather, Pryor was easy to hit and Floyd is a defensive master. Wrong style for Pryor.

 

This ridiculous myth that Leonard ducked Pryor all comes from that legandary fights show!!!

It's just not true people!!!

On the question, I may slightly favour Floyd but as someone above said, Floyd hasn't been in with anyone near Pryors level at 140 or 147. That being said Pryor's resume is not exceptionally deep either. 2 wins over Arguello (including the controversial 1st win),and the victory over a way past it Cervantes is all there is to shout about to be honest.

It was more the fact that Pryor was virtually unknown. Ray fought the best when the money was right. In fact, he ducked Hearns in the early days because he thought he could make more money out of the fight later on. When he came to fight Hearns, Duran and Hagler, there had already been so much hype around the fights that they became massively lucrative. Pryor, on the other hand, was a tough opponent who wasn't going to be financially rewarding, i.e. high risk, low reward, whereas the other three were high risk, high reward.

 

This backs up what I'm saying: Leonard fights the best, but only when the money's right. He would have fought Pryor if he could have dominated the purse, but not otherwise. Like I say, high risk, low reward. Don't deny that Leonard was ALWAYS looking to let a fight sit and get sweet before he cashed in - think him pulling out of fighting Hearns in the early days, and saying the Hagler fight would "never happen" etc.

 

I see Pryor being a fairly moderate risk compared to someone like Hearns.

 

Indeed, Hearns is the worst style match-up for Floyd of anyone I can think of. If by chance he managed not to get KO'd...he'd get outboxed to a UD anyway!!!
