What about Simmie Black, a professional loser from the 70's/80's/ 90's?

Edit: I don't know why he quit actually. He was on a hot 4 bout winning streak, which is as good as it got for him.
Contrast that with his longest losing streak, which was 27 bouts in a row.

I just noticed - Buckley is British and Strickand is American. These guys will be hard to top.

Edit: I wonder what happened with Buckley - he won 6 of his first 8 contests, with one draw and one loss.
It doesn't seem like he started out with the intention of being a pro loser...but he fell apart really quickly after that.

I've seen Peter at shows on numerous occasions. The irony about his record is that he is actually a very decent fighter, but he realised fairly early on in his career that he could make more money easing young fighters into the fight game than he could chasing the dream. Top bloke as well :good

Yeesh! You gotta respect that guy's activity though. He'd even put Emmanuel Augustus to shame. He must have a decent chin though, because he's been KOed very few times in all those losses.

But surely if he was quite decent, his paydays would have gotten better with time? I'm guessing he had a full-time job and boxed to supplement his main income?

geez, why did he have to be American

this guy must of lost on purpose in some of those bouts, how do you get all that experience and not last the distance against a non-experienced fighter.

Co-sign, when he retired recently a lot of ignorant journalists & newspapers ran headlines such as 'Worst Boxer ever retires'. If his former opponent Jeff Thomas was still posting I'm sure he'd be singing his praises too.

One guy I always remember is Ronald "Lobster" Thermidor, a welterweight from the 80's. Unlike a professional loser, Lobster actually tried to win his fights, and insisted that with a better manager, he could have beaten Mark Breland.

His record at boxrec is incomplete. I know for a fact he had over 20 fights, with 17 losses. I don't know his final tally, though.
