Two great smaller men scoring heavyweight upsets over two great bigger men.

What was the better victory and why?

i`d say holyfields as he had lost in the fashion he did in the first fight with bowe yes i know spinks was moving up in weight to fight holmes but holmes was coming to the end of his career at tittle level where bowe was looked on as the next champ by many

Tough one as they were both razor-thin decisions but I'd opt for Holyfield as he was gaining redemption after their first fight, and over a fighter in his prime.

    Spinks for Me.

I think that his win, although close, was a little more decisive than Evander's win over Riddick Bowe which was incidenatlly scored a MD. Additionally, Spinks's win carries greater historical significance. Holmes may have been fading but he was still very relevant to the HW Division make no mistake about that.

    Michael Spinks for me.

It's true, Bowe was still at the peak of his powers and was looked on to be the next great Heavyweight. That said, after his title winning effort against Evander the first time, he became slack in training and his diet was getting out of control. He went into the second fight in terrible shape, and this made evident on how he was unable to impose his will like he did first time out. Holyfield gets credit for Boxing effectively, but they did stand toe to toe for good periods of that fight. Bowe was not in good shape.

Holmes, he was coming to the end of his career at title level, but he would go on to put on great performances a long time after the Spinks loss. The Mercer fight in particular comes to mind, and this was after. Spinks was nothing but a Light Heavyweight fighting the undefeated Heavyweight champion of the world, and he won the fight outright.

    Spinks for me.

Have you seen the "what poster takes themselves the most seriously" thread on the Lounge yet? Needless to say, you get a few mentions.

I think you just need something in your personal life to stimulate you abit more. You take things way to seriously and it makes it hard to enjoy your company in here at times, to tell you the truth.

You should have made your point instead of being this big ****ing drama queen about it, not even getting to the point three posts in.
