i think that at 140 it is more likely a 60-40 fight in moselys favor. dont ever count ssm out. if pacman wins i would give him full credit as being the absolute best in the sport lb4lb. I think he is already #1 in that catagory. but if mosely wins which i think is most probable mosely is clear cut lb4lb champion and deserving of the lions share of a purse against money may

I thought Mosley recently said that he was done pursuing Pacquiao and was looking to fight the welterweights. He should have let this go but I hope they know what they are doing. It's Pac's move now but I have a feeling they will still try to get Cotto at 142-143 instead.

Agreed. I think Cotto at 143-145 is less risky than Shane at 140.

I disagree. At 140 Pac would be at 100% and Mosley at around 60%.

Mosley is desperate for big payday and cant make 140 anymore. I think he should fight Floyd so he can get good purse he deserves before he retires.

This is BS, I think Shane knows he's almost done with boxing and he doesnt care about his health or if he actually wins. He just wants the big payday and then retire. This probably wont be any different then the Dela Hoya fight him being weight drained Pac dominating then everyone praises Pac as the greatest fighter who ever lived...

Not sure if he's doing just for the money or not; but I think he realy thinks he can beat him. He can take a hell of a punch, so I don't see PAC stopping him; and he has the speed and power to do some damage. even a drained Mosley has a chance.

It's funny how all these armchair quarterbacks are saying Mosley can't make 140? How the **** would you know? I think the man knows his own body and if he's saying it he can make 140. he also is 100% confident that he'll win, thats why he is trying so hard to make the fight.

I love Shane, but those tipping him as a favorite at 140 are, I think, getting carried away. There are just WAY too many questions about how that weight would affect him. The history of guys his age, even great ones, shedding weight just isn't good.

Could he do it? Sure, anything can happen. But he can't be favoured.

It's a shame, too, to see him reduced to chasing an opponent like this. He deserves better.

he has guts and he is crazy. My respect for Shane always goes up and my respect for Mayweather down. Shane really has heart and fights them all.

how is Mosely a lose lose situation for Pac at 140?

Its not a catchweight and its on Pac's terms. the only way its a lose lose situation is if Pac gets knocked out and Mosely ends up fighting Mayweather instead of Pac after this.

    Totally disagree.

I think Shane truly believes that Pacquiao is taylor-made for his right hand, and he thinks beating Pacquiao is his key to landing the Floyd fight.

Mosley truly believes he can beat Pac and Floyd.

Whether or not he can remains to be seen (hopefully).

But I think Mosley cares A LOT about his legacy, and in his mind, wins over Pacquiao and Floyd would be a perfect ending to a storybook career and would forever erase the previous taints on his record. A third win against Cotto would do even better for his all-time standing.

Mosley is NOT looking for a payday--he is just extremely confident than he can knock Pacqiao out.

Pacquiao will be tempted to take this fight but if he takes this fight and win it. It will do nothing to his legacy. Although fighting Mosley at 147 is another story. Fighting Mosley at welter and beating him will seal Pacquiao's greatness.
