I've got to say that if there wasn't so much fanfare around Khan, he would be a lot more appreciated here. The improvements are far from complete but he looked quality against Barrera. He's got a good head on him. I admire him for the way he's dealt with the Prescott defeat and this fight against Kotelnik is not the easiest route available to him to a title. What was obvious against MAB was also Khan's blinding speed. He's going to give anyone big problems. You can counter that MAB was faded and the cut played a part but I'm telling you, Khan was very impressive in attack and defence. His movement in and out of range was almost perfect. If Khan sticks to the game plan, Kotelnik doesn't have that snap in his work too get close enough to deliver those devastating hayemakers that Prescott landed. I really think that this could be a relatively easy nights work for Amir Khan. And then God help us....
I also watched the Khan fights both against ***an and MAB. One thing I did notice in the MAB fight is that Khan's flurries, while visually impressive, didn't seem to hurt barrerra. MAB seemed to be wincing more from the blood and Khan's blinding speed as opposed to "pain." Another example of this is the Khan vs. Gomez fight - Khan was like a machine in the first half of the fight but Gomez literally walked through the hail of paper bullets. It will be interesting to see how moving up in weight affects Khan's boxing. If he wins, I think it will be a great night for British boxing. Good luck Amir!
I still think Khan's power is very underrated. He isn't exactly a knockout artist but he's no feather fisted boxer either. While he has a fair few TKO's on his record I think many of those boxers would have sustained serious damage had the ref not stopped the fight.
really? I reckon his power is very overrated. He has spent his whole career fighting much smaller guys and has not really KO'd anyone of note (not really beat anyone of note either though and I dont includa Barrera in that coz that fight was a farce from start to finish)

That said, I'm hoping Khan will pack more of a punch in terms of power come tomorrow (this is based on the idea that his legs are much stronger and he's less top heavy).

I actually don't remember Amir getting wobbled against barrera (and believe me I've looked for it) I think he's basically feather fisted, but the speed and quantity he throws at makes him more deadly. Saying that, the first right he dropped ***an with was a peach. I think Khan would batter Valero, one of the few fighters more overrated than Khan :deal
Khan does lack real power, but now at 140 his more natural weight he should punch harder. Adding any weight/power to his already fast hands could have good results.
Possibly. Only five lbs mind, and the word is they've used that to strengthen his legs and neck..............basically I'm a Khan hater
I think Khan suffers from Calzaghe syndrome a bit. He puts so much effort into throwing as many as possible that he forgets that part of the intention is to do damage. But then again, if Khan sat down on his punches and tried to deliver big power then he'd be ****ed up within seconds.
