"Ray Robinson, Muhammad Ali, Ray Leonard, Salvador Sanchez, Roberto Duran, Willie Pep & Joe Louis."

    Note:

Ali dropped his hands a lot and pulled back from punches, however, in his prime he OFTEN got away with these things..... Ali was HIGHLY skilled....

Joe Louis dropped his left jab upon returning it home in his youth, but that flaw was later corrected..... Joe Louis was deadly in his attack......

    whut, manny doesnt deserve mention?

pacmans got the best strait left in the business & in his era. you can knock him for not being a solid complete fighter but his combination of raw speed, power & relentlessness makes up for a lot flaws. and yeah, IMO he's still getting better :good

I think since his last fight at 130lb, his competition has gotten worse for most part so it's hard to access just how much he has been improving. There has been improvement though. no question.

I suppose Manny deserves a mention, but if you look at the guys post history, you'll see why I called him out as a *******. It's because it's true.

Sugar Ray Robinson. He's a boxer-puncher. Only one who you can say was slick and powerful with 200 fights to boot.

Floyd during his early years was amazing but his defensive technique was probably perfected when he moved up. Kind of adapting to the power that comes from the heavy guys.

"worse" wasnt the case prior to DLH & hatton at all. many including myself questioned how pac would cope with the additional weight and constant pressure from the nat 'bigger man'.. in those fights manny showed major improvements in defense, footwork, boxing ability with still maintaining the overall physical strengths of his game.

anyway, his next couple fights whether its cotto, mosley or floyd will definitely prove his greatness.
