Pavlik to fight and HBO approves four possible fighters.....

Williams wasn't an option because of the B.S. negotiations w/ Bob Arum when they were trying to make a fight some time ago-P.S. read the article it's helpful. I think a lot of this is what HBO wants, to me Sturm is still the most recognizable name. They could also follow Pav as he looks to unify the MW title.
I hink he wants to stay a MW, but in the end he may have to make the decisin to move up!
Let's not forget He fought Jermain 2x, Hopkins and 2 mandatories so give the kid a break and hopefully they make the best fight possible.

isn't pavlik still under contract to fight sergio mora. I heard the fight was just post-poned.

 

Wrong. A year ago Wright challenge Pavlik to fight him and Wright even said he'll fight Pavlik in Pavlik own backyard in ohio and will not complain if Pavlik gets the bigger share of the purse. After that i haven't a peep out of Pavlik or his trainer.

 

IIRC Wright has never ever in history said that he would fight someone and then not done so, apart from this one episode...

 

And this episode of what i just said. Call me crazy but i think Wright even at his age can beat Pavlik. Style makes fight and i believe Wright style is all wrong for Pavlik.

I like the Sergio Martinez option, he has mad skills and his speed will trouble Pavlik very much. Pavlik will probably go the easist way out and fight Sturm, but all are respectable fights, though a WInky Wright fight has lost some of it' luster because of Wrights one-sided loss to Williams.

 

Yea but his style i believe is still all wrong for Pavlik. Pavlik doesn't throw every wild angle punches that Williams does and Pavlik doesn't have the long arms like Williams. Pavlik mostly throws straighter punches almost like Trinidad.

 

Nobody wants to see PAv fight, or fight at 160 against bums right about now lol.

 

Ya -- Winky said all that ****, and then turned down $1.4 million and a cut of the PPV revenue. I believe that was the 3rd or 4th time Wright found a reason not to fight KP. This has been going on since 2005.

 

Do you have a link that Wright turn down 1.4 million after he said that he don't care if Pavlik gets the bigger purse? Cause i don't remember Wright did that after he agree that Pavlik should get the bigger purse. And beside that is kind of a lowball if you ask me 1.4 million dollars? Wright got 2 million fighting Hopkins at 170 pounds.

 

Ray, even if you believed Winky turned down a fight...we all know that it was for monetary reasons. Pav fans say Winky turned them down...lol. At least say money was the reason. Don't even hint that Winky never wanted Pav lol. If anything Pav never wanted Abraham...ole scary ass.

 

Bob and Kelly can't have it both ways...they either put that sort of thing behind them or don't moan about only being offered $1m for fighting Sturm!!!

 

Lol in the past Wright down down big fights like the Taylor rematch. Many don't know but Oscar offer Wright 6 million dollars back in 05 but Wright turn it down saying "How come every other fighters gets 10 million fighting Oscar but not me? Why should i accept it?" <<<<That would been Wright biggest pay day ever. But Pavlik fans saying Wright turn down Pavlik in the past when Wright got a draw vs Taylor but i never read that Wright turn down a Pavlik fight after Wright said he'll fight Pavlik in Pavlik back yard and let Pavlik get the bigger purse.
