khan was running a bit, but i've never seen him fight like that before...... knowing when to tie up, and know when to hold and to block, and taking all them big punches.... he was picking his punches better aswell... and you cant really tell if hes got any knockout power at 140 coz kotelnik dont get knocked out by no1... he does seem to have more thump behind his punches though, u can hear the thud... if he gets KO power at 140 that would be sick... i think he is on his way to it though, freddy roach knows how to transform fighters, he knows every little thing... khan should stay at 140... **** going back down to lightweight
I had Kotelnik winning 4 rounds. Although I've just got back, I'm tired and I can't remember which ones they were. Khan was impressive tonight though, Kotelnik did have him hurt once or twice, he landed some wicked bodyshots early on that seemed to take something out of Khan and landed flush on his chin once or twice. And a lot of Khans work was just hitting gloves and arms. 120-108 is an absolute travesty.
I felt it was 117 - 111 with Kotelnik edging a couple during the early to middle rounds and then won the last round through work rate while Khan kept smart and stayed on his bike, he knew he werent gonna stop him and just let the round slip slightly, big deal, 2 or 3 edged out rounds went to Kotelnik, brilliance from Khan either way, Kotelnik tried, respect due to him for making it tough for Khan.
I had it 116-112 for Khan. To be honest i thought alot of Khans punches where blocked by Kotelnik, but he was the busier and more complete fighter over the 12 rounds. Plus points for Khan are his great speed and his stamina and his ability to stick to a gameplan for 12rounds. Lets hope now he sticks to fighting good fighters.....bring on Maidana On a seperate note is there only me who hates Jim Watt and Adam Smith as a partnership?
I gave Kotelnik a share of the 3rd, he won the 4th and the 12th. Arguably the 11th as well. The nuthuggery was disgraceful though - with Smith on the mic you need Watt's negativity to make them sound objective.
Why do we need objectivity? It was a british fighter fighting for a world title on british tv......."come on Frank!!" PS: Your brother is a better poster than you good
Nah, you gotta bait your hook a bit better than that if you want me to bite; you're just not putting the effort into these wind-ups that you used to, way too obvious:bart
Meh...I thought the only round Kotelnik clearly won was the 12th. A few other rounds were very tight and I gave him one other and a share of the 11th. Khan boxed very, very well... I can see haters getting on his back for being boring soon enough though, like the way people hate mayweather.
He beat the **** out of Khan in round 12. How did the judge give Khan that round. Just goes to show how fixed the fight was. Don't get me wrong, I thought Khan won but even if Kotelnik had deserved to win he wouldn't have been allowed to.
