Khan looks very fragile to me. Lets be honest here, Kotelnik is slow with zero power and in some rounds Khan was running. When Khan fights someone at 140 with decent speed and power he will lose.

I do continously worry about Khan physically. He looks so frail, weak and off balance. Even when he covers up he looks like he's been hit around the park. Needs more leg strength and more work on his base.

If Khan can get technique like Kotelnik then we've got a chance. Kotelnik has good technique but not very high on the talent chart.

Fight Hatton. Get Rich. Fight someone else. Get chinned. Retire a millionaire at 23. Khan is an nice kid, a fantstic boxer but always a good dig from disaster. He made some terrible mistakes last night amongst his general excellence. He was rocked two or three times. I've not watched it on TV yet so don't know how the commentators called it but he was clearly troubled by a left hook late on and his legs dipped once or twice earlier.

I didn't see him get hurt in this fight at all.

Which is very unusual for him.

    And?

I was one row back. TV cameras are closer than any of the spectators.

Have you never attended a boxing match before?

Best way to watch the action in any sport is on the TV.

Attending just gives you a wider perspective, but you don't see the action as well.

I would go for Maidana, lets say around December. No need rushing it and trying to squeeze 2 fights in before the end of the year. That was fine when he was fighting Drilzane, Lawton and co, but now he has to take his fights one at a time with a serious training camp for every one of them.

Like some of you said, he still needs to work on those legs. Taking the weight off the upper body has worked well.

Defence has improved, but still needs to more work.

The conditioning is good. He did well to stay active for many rounds (although he did have a couple of slow rounds, if I remember correctly). Handspeed, maintaining the distance with the jab and a high workrate are basically his main tools at the moment.

After defending against Maidana, he could look at Witter for a domestic or Malignaggi for a US debut, followed by Bradley or Hatton, or both.

I was pretty much ringside as well last night and feel he took shots without any probs at all mate. He seemed to take more in the 8th than in the hole fight, people around were wincing, but he seemed to take them well in my opinion. Being 'chinny' adds to the drama but i feel he'll be way stonger @ 140 and fought at a good pace for 12 hard rnds in his first 'world' title fight at 22 yrs of age and in a new weight division.
Thought it was a top class bill though mate. Really enjoyed it:good

 Take it thats a no then.

Boxing is a sport where attending is entirely different to watching on the TV. Blood, sweat, tears splashing under the ring lights. The sound of bone hitting bone. Its in a 3 metre ring mate, Its not formula one and its not footie where the balls travelling all over the place. :good

I was there with Kev Blue. His knees seemed to dip a couple of times early and late on a left hook had him circalling trying to get out of the way. Might have been whilst he took the majority of the punches well he still felt the effects of some of them. IMHO.

Yes the bill was a good one,.... I would have put the olypians on early and then the title fights later but yes it was a good bill. Very enjoyable . Not £15 wrth though PPV so sorry for those guys but well worth attending. Pretty decent atmosphere too.... did you notice the crowd noise added to the music as Khan walked in. That was pretty funny. They didn't need it Khan got a good reception anyway.
