The problem with Hall is he has that typical punchers mentality. He loads up throws one punch at a time whips out his camera and then surveys his work. When he got close to Small he didnt throw. When he backed him to the ropes he threw no combinations but instead the usual one shot at a time. When he was at a distance he he couldnt close the gap, didnt use much of a jab and never worked his way inside to really take the fight to Small.

Small to me is nothing more than an illusionist. Anyone can look good doing there best Roy Jones impression but the kid isnt half as good as he thinks he is. Plus his attitude stinks. I wouldnt mind if he was as talented as Nas once was but he's not. He got beat up by Pryce because of those same bull**** antics. That being said very good domestic win.

It was weird because it was more like half a crossed guard. But he just got left hook happy when up close and just didnt throw any combinations with any variation. Shame as i really like Hall. He looks excellent when putting his opponents away.

I'm surprised it took small round 8 to take out hall....fighters like hall are tailor made for fighters like small.....like i said in previous post hall is one dimmensional and very limited.

I really like Hall. I like his no nonsense approach. Just walks to the ring and wants to fight. However he needs to be much smarter. Hughes is his coach and I think I rank him lowest out of all the 'top trainers'.

Anthony Farnell, Thomas Mcdonagh, Micheal Gomez, Mathew Hall, Mick Jennings, Robin Reid, Pat Barrett all disagree. The guys a legend and knows boxing inside out.

Did you hear Hughes telling Small to "**** off" when he came to Halls corner at the end of the fight?

Hall just has to learn to use more head movement and really put them together in 3's and 4's. Like you said i dont think Hughes is the right guy to bring that out in him.

His fighters always seem to fall short though - bar Reid of course.

God im turning into Teddy Atlas with my recent predictions.

But, whilst i will never be a fan of Small he foguth very well last night. Moved and held alot in the early rounds to take the sting off Halls punches, then as Hall slowed a bit and became frustrated he sat down on his punches and started to hurt Hall, and then he finished him.

    Good tactics.

Also did anyone not see the complete lack of a jab from Hall. I mean yes he would be hard pushed to jab to Smalls head but at least jab to his chest to get your range and actually work your way in.

Bit disapointed with Hall but he lost to the better fighter.

I kpt on changing my mind on this fight all the time. I'm not surprised Hall got stopped by Small who is a very good Boxer.... what next for Samll though? Has he left Warren? Who will fight him next? Bradley Pryce? Ryan Rhodes?.... maybe the vacant European belt if Moore is fighting Martinez in September?

Apart from fighting on the inside, Hall don't seem to have any other skill does he?

I think he should have tried the Ali shuffle and then moonwalked backwards round the ring anti-clockwise. That would have definately been a better tactic then trying to infight against a fighter who prefers to stay on the outside. Plus with Halls build you'd think that he would adopt more of a brendan ingle style. With those long limbs and height advantages he always has.... see where i'm going with this.

Agreed,he sort of hoodwinked Hall into this loss.Trouble was for Hall when he id get close Small held onto him like he was his bird and Hall could do nothing about it.

I still think Hall will go places. He can learn alot from this fight and make the neccesary adjustments to his style rather than trying to walk down everyone he faces.

I'm well pleased, I had money on Small to win by knock out and I thought he was quality last night. Used his reach very well and schooled Hall. At this level you can't just walk forward and hit hard, fine that'll take care of mugs early in your career, but when you step up its all about the little things to make the difference and Small/Pererra's tactics came out on top. As its shown with Khan and Roach.

Small's not with Warren, he's independent. Hall is the one with Warren that's why Small was on the bill I believe.

I understand he's going for European and then World next, and I bloody hope he win's them too.
