I will pick Khan; take away maidana punching power, smouther him do what-ever.Just do not get caught on the outside. But like I said, Maidana is all power he can't box. Khan takes him to school possibly stop Maidana.

What about in the next fight? Has Khan improved enough to be put in front of a devastating puncher at 140 after merely one fight at the weight?

Kotelnik nearly punched through Khan's guard a few times.

Therefore, one can conclude that Maidana would smash it.

    The end.

Indeed there was evidence of possible problems against a bigger puncher. I was expecting a wider disparity in the poll.

Khan outpoints him in a landslide.
Maidana is one dimensional and Ortiz was a better boxer that him.
Khan won't get dragged into a brawl and can only improve at his new weight. I expect him to develop more power too, so I expect him to start putting more hurt on his opponents.

Agreed. But Maidana lost to Kotelnik, so he's obviously also beatable. Don't doubt that Khan's team would be asking themselves exactly why he did.

As it is, Maidana's game plan won't change much. Khan's chin may be his weakness. Problem is, Khan might come to the fight with a better game plan than Maidana's route-1 'punch him in the chin'.

Tough call. Because we know less about Khan, and he's certainly evolving as a fighter - and fast, I'd go for Khan over 12.

The fact that Kotelnik beat Maidana doesn't change the fact Khan will get KO'ed by Maidana. He will dodge the fight in my eyes.

Since Roach wanted Valero for Khan previously, I can't see them hiding from Maidana as he has nowhere near the power of Valero.

People always get carried away for at least a week or two after a good performance.

If I were Frank Warren, Maidana and Bailey are the two guys I'd keep Amir Khan way the hell away from.
