I wonder if Uncle Duke had a part to play in getting her a featured slot.

Just watched the Hennessey bill on sky+ and was goin to start a thread before seein this one. I thought it was **** poor from start to finish and shows either he's resigned himself to the fact ITV have pulled the plug and doesnt give a **** or he just has'nt got a ****in clue what boxin fans want. IMO he should be puting out quality fights that will maybe make ITV look again and wonder what they will be missing. That was just garbage in my eyes with the only possitive maybe in Tom Glover takin his chance with both hands and pulling off a deserved career best win.

I bet every boxing fan watching ITV simultaneously switched the channel when that **** came on.

The talent womens boxers in the UK must have been well pissed off that she got on TV, heard on the radio that she had lost something like 19 out of 20.

Her celebrations act lasted longer than the fight ... total disrespect to her useless opponent.

    Leave Mick alone.

At least he gives you a show to moan about.

Whats the alternative? no f*cking show at all?

I have to disagree with the majority. I was at York Hall and thought the main event was a tremendous fight to watch. One of the best young boxers in Britain and surely a future world title challenger in Cleverly against a really tough, doesn't know when he's beaten top level domestic boxer in Danny McIntosh. Cleverly put on a great show - Danny Mac did his bit too just to live with him for 7 rounds. Not least that HBK esque kick up off the canvas in the third round! Good good fight.
And Thaxton - Glover was a quality, 'too close to call 'contest too.
It wasn't Mick's fault or Tyson's fault for that matter that Selezens came in that out of shape, although to be fair the less said about the women the better!
All in all I thought it was a really decent show.

dont think anyone takes issue with anything apart from that one fight that no business being shown. fair enough if hennessey sticks it on as a swing bout to draw in a few celebrities but televising it is awful. a 2-17 fighter vs a can being shown on national tv is an embarassment.

I've no problem with women wanting or being able to box, but I'm ****ed if I want to watch it.

judging by your avatar it looks like your not interested in looking at women in general..........:lol::lol::lol:

I was at a womans world title fight in new york really enjoyed it

unfortunately that fight that was on last night was a circus act i feel sorry for the other female fighters in the uk who would give an arm and a leg to fight on tv!

Singing from same sheet ...although how about this for controversial ...Is it such a bad thing to show the women boxing? Granted there were definitely better fights out there but if say 100,000 people tuned in solely because they had seen Angel McKenzie on Big Brother who maybe weren't ardent boxing fans who wouldn't have watched otherwise and thus put that extra number on the overall viewing figures would that not be good for the sport. It might not be good to watch but if it meant we got more good tv shows as a result maybe in the bigger picture it's a good thing?

Just trying to see both sides of the argument here? I doubt I'll get many people to agree!!

Says the bloke with 2 fat, sweaty, half naked men in his avatar....:p

I'm fine with women boxing, but it just feels wrong on a basic level to me when I actually watch it (I accept thats my problem, not theirs).

Cheers for the avatar though, you ****er....:good;)

You're not alone, Gaz. From my Army admin days I can tell you that the main reason women are not aloud to serve on the front line is due to the psychological impact that it has on men. This is not bull****, it's true.:good
