Remember seeing Salita once ages ago. Seemed like a decent technician but I don't remember seeing much power. Khan would beat him I think.
Like: Maidana Hate: Erik Morales :fire:twisted::fire The thought of this fills me with hate and loathing.
I saw him live on the Calzaghe Jones undercard, he got booed when he came out, got given a gift decision and booed when he left. I don't rate him much.
khan should and will stay at 140 and theres really good fights for him at this weight salita is a decent fighter, has a good fellowing in NYC and a good match for khan especailly for a US debut, i wouldn't be to mad if this fight was made i would prefer the winner of bradley/campbell, i think campbell will win that fight and campbell would give khan a lot problems with those 6 inch short punches and his all round solid skills especially his inside game, although he's getting on a bit. khan vs campbell would be a great fight, there's rumours of peterson getting the winner of bradley vs campbell though so maybe warren could do what he did with kotelnik and offer more money as it would be a unification i think the khan who fought kotelnik with a few more improvements would beat maidana, that guy is waiting for someone with a jab who circles to confuse him and go from a monster to a miranda, but i can't see them taking that fight as it looks too dangerous from the outset because people are making maidana out to be some sort of beast winner of witter vs alexander, although its big risk little reward as both are not known or rated in the US it would a unification and would be slightly easier then the winner of bradley/campbell if hatton is to continue, the best and only fight would be against khan so i wouldn't mind that fight, its a huge money spinner, big publicity for boxing and would make khan a bigger name everywhere and a national star here, plus hatton is ripe for the picking as i said there's lots of options at this weight, diaz would be a good US debut as well with his mexican fellowing, the guy packs out that houston texas vanue
I quite like the idea of Frank paying off Maidana and getting him a shot with the winner of Randall Bailey-Juan Urango probably an easier fight for him. And I like the idea of Khan fighting Salita he may not be a top 10 Light Welter but he has seems a solid enough fighter and it would allow him to get a mandatory out of the way. Frank can get that one sorted for lets say early December in London (make up for missing out on the last fight) and and then he can look for bigger fights after that. I'm sure HBO or Showtime would pick it up as long as Khan and Warren don't price themselves out of a move. I do not want to see Morales and I cannot believe Freddie Roach is trying to pine for that fight.
if they want to test khan's chin at 140 against a respectable champ, but not a very dangerous guy, its urango, hes a little bulldog that can punch, just is slow as a old hag, and khan should win 12-0, but urango has punching power to hurt khan if he landed... guys like katsidis, torres, and i feel even maidana are all wrong for khan.....
Neither had Khan:deal Last 12 months, he got sparkled, fought a bum, then an ancient washed up Barrera at a weight he'd never achieved at, then hey presto, Warren delivers him a decidedly average champ.
No one was calling kotelnik an average champ after maidana beat ortiz, khan made him look average styles make fights i honestly think some 1 like murray who comes foward with very little foot movement and is suceptable to counter punchers would be defeated by kotelnik and berrara.
i would absolutely hate it if it was el terrible, like terry norris i would never root for khan again if khan has any sort of pride or respect he should refuse it if its offered
