If I only tabulated his top 8, it would **** up checks and balances.

I know some posters inexplicably felt the need to include more than ten names, but at least in those instances, I can simply dismiss the unnecessary excess.

In this case, however, his list was incomplete, and therefore, it was not counted in my poll.

80 is a nice round number.

I'll look forward to attacking this list when you publish it, haha.

As I said, there's no reason for you to do this, as I intend to breaking the numbers down in a variety of similar ways.

I am curious, however, to learn whether or not your numbers matched mine for as far as you went.

I'm pretty sure I got everything entered perfectly, but cross referencing never hurts.

    Hey McGrain...

Why don't you select the division I choose next.

Do light-heavyweight bub! Take the eight in order if you dare (and watch the diminishing returns as you go back passed 147!).

Okay, I'll follow that route. I was considering that, and also considered jumping around, but this makes sense. I'll start the new poll shortly.

    :good

And yes, I 100% agree that the returns shall diminish as we go lower.

    Honestly, it makes sense.

A lot of people (and I include myself in this group) are much better versed with heavyweight history than with any other division.

I'm not nearly as knowledgeable on the lower weight classes. However, I think I know enough from 135 and up to at least take an educated stab at it.

I may even refrain from even making a list in any weight classes lower than that because I don't think I have the knowledge base.

Then again, those are a few months away, so I have plenty time to do some research.

    Sorry dude, you're too late.

I just tabulated everything and I can't be arsed to do it again. However, please participate in a similar poll I'm about to start shortly. The next one pertains to the Light Heavyweight division.

Outside of Jack Johnson being so high (as laughable as it is, I understand the allure), that's a pretty damned solid list, especially given the rather open criteria.

it´s a good list, the only thing I don´t like is Lennox lewsis that high, I can´t see him THAT good. In their prime I would have both Tyson and frazier above him, otherwise it´s a good list.
Ali nr 1, suits me fine. he he!

Not a half-bad list, all in all. I didn't participate (I'm not big into rankings) but I was curious to see how it would turn out.
I suppose one could always nitpick, but since I didn't participate I don't have the right to.

    Good job guys.
