you're wrong, he fought a counter puncher in th realm of mayweather, in marquez and almost got beat twice. now mayweather is defensive fighter while martquez is more offensive. thats gonna be more problems for pacquiao bececause its gonna be harder to land punches. mayweather is not an easy target for anybody. he also is more accurate and hits harder then marquez. there a legitmante chance mayweather knocks paquiao out.

That can get you into trouble sometimes. Then again, I guess that's the name of the game with women.

I disagree. The Pacquiao who fought Marquez is not the same Pacquiao in the 140 division. Pacquiao is more comfortable in the higher weight class and is a lot stronger and faster compare to before. He also developed his right which is another advantage for him. The Pacquiao in 135 will lose to Mayweather but not the one in 140.

Oh and just a reminder, Marquez did lose the first fight ( scoring error by judge and he admitted it too bad it wasn't put on record ) The second one was as close as it could get. Some scored it for Pacquiao ( judges saw that ) and some scored it for Marquez.

Mayweather is too smart for pac. Pacquiao is too much of a ****** see ****** do fighter. As for mayweather he'll find the key to pacquiao. Pac will just throw punches in furries and get frustrated as he cant land anything and there floyd take advantage to win via points. And for the record im not a pbf fan

speaking just from styles. reason why paquiao struggled with marquez and why he would always have problems is because of marquez's counter punching. marquez is a great counter puncher, mayweather is even better. even though paquiao has sucessfully moved up, it was against hatton and dlh. mayweather is an entirely different ball game. not to say that pac dosent have a chance but mayweathers skill set is likely too much too over come.

Marquez is a better counterpuncher than Floyd. He counters with 3-4 punch combinations, Floyd counters with single punch most of the time.

6th round KO :patsch against a fighter who is not only able to fight 12 full round but keep his focus also. Just how in the hell will Pac pull that off.

Two things make this a more difficult call than it should be.

    i. Pac has improved significantly in each of his last several outings (quite a bit more than one would expect, given the stage of his career). He could 'step it up' again against Floyd.

    2. Floyd has had a lengthy layoff and is getting into 'old' territory. He might have lost something.

I will make a pick if and when this bout gets made.

Meantime, I will say that the Mayweather who fought DLH and Hatton, decisively beats the Pac who KOd Hatton, probably by stoppage.

There is a flipside to that. Mayweather is indeed better than Marquez defensively. But offensively, Marquez is simply more consistent. While Mayweather is indeed a more difficult target for Pac than JMM ever was, Pac will find it rather comforting that Mayweather throws significantly LESS amount of punches/counters than JMM did. With Marquez, whenever Pac throws 3-4 punch combinations, he always risks being countered with the SAME amount of punches by JMM. With Mayweather, Pac won't be worried because Floyd only throws 1-2 punches at a time. This makes Pac a little more comfortable in throwing his shots, thus he's more focused.

There are 2 sides of the coin, mate. Mayweather and Marquez are counterpunchers, but the way they apply their counterpunching is entirely different. They have different styles of counterpunching and one cannot successfully use Marquez as a reason for why Mayweather would beat Pac. They're different.
