And how far away is he from a world title shot?

Well he's certainly nowhere near a shot at a major alphabet at 135, that's for sure. I think the Thaxton fight may still happen.

I thought Thaxton won by 2 but it was a very, very close fight.

Murray's future path will be one that takes him along the EBU title and then a significant Alphabet shot because, sadly, he will always be in Khan's shadow.

Without Khan he wouldn't be getting as much publicity, so let's not get our tissues out for him just yet, although I agree they should of fought about a year ago. I wouldn't be surprised if Murray was given a shot at Khan's title in the near future as would make alot of sense in many different way's.

I personally can't see Murray beating Khan, while also being given a very bad beating in the process.... can't see Murray lasting longer than 5 or 6 rounds with him honestly.

who is eurp champ at lightweight?? Murray is a long long away from a world title.

Froch had 11 domestic title fights over 4 years before getting a world title shot.

Witter had 12 domestic title fights over 6 years before getting his shot.

Murray is at least 3 years away from a world title, and quite rightly so his last opponent was Scott Lawton for christ sake.

The only decent fight for him domesticly is Limmond, maybe Prescott would be worth a shout.

c'mon Glover, anyway, the fight will probably go ahead as planned despite thaxton having an obvious stamina problem

Yeah, think this is the way Murray should be looking, perfectly winnable fight for him imo too. Would definitely hold him back from World stage for a few years, he's still only 23 isn't he?

He might be able to Billy, given that the Glover fight was made at Lightwelter and not lightweight....doesn't look good though

The only thing Thaxton should be fighting is the urge to continue fighting.

    Call it a day.

I think Thaxton's to bulked up and loads his shots up and that's why he gasses the way he does.

Yeh Thaxton should move up to light welter if he continues.
