because they're idiots... he got KTFO'd, and came back hungrier and stronger then ever, why hate a man who's so dedicated to the sport?..you'd have to be an idiot
gee how many fighters get knocked out in there early 20's and come back......there wouldnt be many boxers around if they all quitted thats for sure
not knocked out but.....KNOCKED THE **** OUT a loss like that can change a fighter, look at Zab Judah, never the same since that loss, if he cant stop you in 4rounds he completely goes into a shell it takes heart and dedication to do what Khan did, realize his faults and improve as much as he did, alot of credit goes to Roach as well, but still.... the mans got heart, theres no denying that, though i admit him getting his title shot was odd as **** but....can't blame him for taking it, only a fool would of turned it down
monstar: dedicated or not that isnt the reason, the reason is he gets paid millions for fighting these so called champions (whilst guys like froch and moore etc cant even secure a tv deal let alone get a mention in boxing monthly and earn there stripes the hard way and getting paid a pittance for the priviledge, until someone worth a salt eventually grows the balls to fight em) hes paraded around every media channel there is,gets a first class ticket to roach's gym following a beatdown by presscot, and basically because im not falling for the bull****.. talented kid ,but there are more fighters than amir kahn in the world who get sidelined to make way for the hype train, e.g FRANKIE GAVIN ring any bells, the world amateur champion!!he fought that night too albeit he is still in the early stages of his professional career but compare the 2 at the same point in there careers we were saturated with kahn yet gavin is an unknown quantity to the casual observer and IMO a much better boxer/prospect..
Because he only takes fights against guys he has an advantage over, size, age, whatever. Thats not the worst, he is young, but then he comes out after talking shite about being the best and wanting to fight greats. Then he has idiot fans who believe every word of the hype. Beside Kotelnik, who's defensive/low speed/low power style is perfect for Khan, he hasn't fought any good fight that i give him respect for. Not ****in 1. Except for Prescott, which he lost. I dont care that he lost and i wont give him grief for it or being chinny. I just want him to close the gap between his big ****in mouth and his poor fights.
Please explain why you would "probably" be a fan if he beats any of those fighters. Are you a fair weather bandwagon fan? You go on and on throughout this entire thread bashing him, and for good reason. How would a victory change any of your reasons for hating him?:huh
Why do people hate Khan? Because he was grossly overhyped, fought carefully picked light-hitting journeymen, and then got starched by the first guy he fought who could hit.
:hey Beating what Khan himself called at one time the "Worst World Champion in the sport" does not change one thing about Khan and his fragile Glass Jaw. I think we are going to see that Team Khan are going to take handpicking fights to a new level avoiding anyone that can punch. Khan is a Glass Jawed fraud who has not beat anyone and he will get his Glass Jaw shattered as soon as he fights someone with a decent KO rate. Khan is feather fisted, fights like a mini robot, and has the worst Chin in the sport.
Khan is articulate, a good role model for kids and he is now a World Champion. He's a fine example of how being Muslim and British is compatible. He was humble enough to realise that he had some real learning left to do but retained the self-belief that he could achieve his lifelong dream. He has a great attitude; which is admirable. He's a real credit to this country and a fine ambassador for the sport. Someone like Amir Khan - marketable, personable, a winner etc can help boxing grow in this country, which would be no bad thing.
