i didnt see nothing out of the ordinary. he just hit and moved. yes roach has made some improvements on his defence but a faster more technical operator like tim bradley or junior witer will expose how flawed khan is

a lot of khans punches were on the gloves. he was winning rounds by outworking kotelnik not by out boxing him

thsi was not like watching jones or hopkins putting on a schooling like some have said.

i feared that khan would get ko'd until the final bell rang

all i saw his use of the ring, he used the space very well, his energy level was superb, kept the fast jabs on pretty well.

He didnt' rush in the first round, He was careful at most times, however he was getting caught near the end as he was getting tired.

With his hand speed and vulnerability this is exactly how he should fight though, which he wasn't doing before

He'll be quite hard to beat if he utilises his strengths fully

what was out of this world about his performance. did you see blazing hand speed of jones jnr. unbelieveable defence of sweet pea.

i remember osacr de la hoya when he was khans age. he was destroying guys like kotelnik

Maybe, but a few fights back I wondered if he'd ever get beyond British level

Nope, no way good as early careers of oscar etc. Khan is an average fighter.

I don't think people are saying it was out of this world per se, just exceptional for Khan, considering how flawed he was just a few fights ago. Most of the Brit forum who are praising Khan still predict he gets KO'd when he fights one of the genuinely world class punchers of the division and soundly beaten by the top boxers.

Kotelnik is a difficult guy to hit. Khan easily beat him with minimal risk. That is exactly what he needs to do if he is to have any success in this sport. It was a fine performance.

Of course it was no 'p4p' level performance but hes only 22 and hes made great strides with Roach in a short amount of time. I haven't seen many to be honest that have proclaimed a Bhop/RJJ style schooling.

    Great show by Khan :good

Khan beat without doubt, a fighter, who had never lost without a hint of doubt.

Khan showed world class movement, world class defence, excellent hand-speed and very good stamina.

There are still rightly doubts about Amir, but his improvement since Roach has got him, is clearly there to see.

But I still wonder, if it comes down to it, (and it will one day, if Khan does continue to step up in class), whether Khan truly trusts his own punch resistance?

Being hit on the chin is as much psychological, as is it is physical. If you truly believe you cannot be hurt, your opponent will find it a lot harder to hurt you. But if you are worried that your opponent can knock you out, at the very top level of the sport, that could mean the battle may already be lost.

Khan showed impressive speed.movement and took a few shots showing his chin isnt as half as bad as some make out. ..he has a 12 rounder under his belt now, good experience and stepping stone to bigger things.

oscar was sensational then wasnt he ?

khan did good...a lot of those punches that folks are saying hit the gloves, i thought quite a lot got through...he still looks hesitant to get in a tear-up though...but a win is a win.
