Salita may be his mandatory but Khan won't be fighting in the next 90 days...that's for sure. He gave an interview today saying he expects his next fight to be in November / December. Personally, if they go for Salita it will be a "tune up" fight - although if that's the case, a shot to bits Morales makes more sense. More money, bigger name. Roach has repeatedly mentioned he'd like to see Khan fight Marquez. If the next few fights are tune-ups, then they'll likely be done with a view to preparing for such a fight. In either scenario, Morales makes more sense commercially. What has me puzzled is why Maidana (or even Ortiz) are not down as Khan's mandatory?
Ortiz lost his last fight. And Maidana is interim champion for the title that Khan holds. Welcome to the WBA.
Rob you seem to know more about NY Jews then I do, but from my limited knowledge of it Jewish Americans anti-Muslim sentiments seem to be limited to international politics rather then individuals. Naseem Hamed didn't seem to get any particular hostility when he fought in MSG, even though he was quite vocal about his religion and is an Arab. Is there any orecedent for a fight in modern times being promoted along such ethnic/secterian lines?
Because its the WBA, Maidana has another WBA title, so Salita is mando for the Khan one and Maidana will defend his regular/interim crap against someone else. Twice the sactioning fees for the ****s at the WBA, they wont make them fight
From what I've seen of Salita, he doesn't particularly impress me. Unless he has more in the locker that he hasn't shown yet, I reckon Khan takes this one.
This is surely a joke. I commented on another vid made by this dude earlier on thi thread but this is (as the Yanks would put it) 'nuthuggery at it's best'. '30 and 0 just doesn't' happen'! Thank for sharingatsch:yep.
Khan against another soft-hitting Ukrainian. Great. Would prefer him fighting any of the afore mentioned; EM, Malignaggi or Maidana
