Haye planning to box and move against Vitali?

I suppose Vitali wants the fight in a telephone Booth and Haye wants the fight in a bull ring...........

I suspect not. Vitali has never been an inside fighter, he prefers to keep it at arms length with his telegraph pole jab and break down his opponent with as little risk as possible. Not particularly exciting, but he's good at it and it's up to the opponent to find a way to break through him. As much as it would be good to see it I think Haye's bitten off more than he can chew here. In and out boxing from range is not really his style and whilst he may be the quicker man I don't honestly think that can compensate for the physical disadvantages he faces against Vitali. Plus, if they do get into a shoot out with their respective chins and power I can only see one winner.

Rico, Zakman, Farmboxer etc would be suicidal if Haye beat both of the Klitschkos.

Good point - I suppose reach advantage is something that will be heavily in Vitalis favour. That shot that done Herbie Hide was a long straight right. Haye will be on his bike for the full 12 rounds or its curtains for him.

Personally, I think Vitali is an easier challenge than what Wlad was, due to his age, inactivity, etc. The only thing he has over Wlad atm is his chin.

I can see Haye boxing and moving for the first six rounds, whilst keeping a relatively low output because he also has a suspect stamina problem. Then as he senses Vitali getting tired, he begins to up the ante and go for it.

Vitali has a stamina problem and gets seriously gased after 6 rounds. Whether Haye can take punishment for 6 rounds from VK is the key.

That is why Haye is planning to box and move, so he takes a minimal amount of punishment.

Hope he does.....I thought Vitali looked pretty awful in the Gomez fight, so slow and lacking any real movement. Starting to feel Vitali would be a better chance for Haye to win. The only thing i'm worried about is Haye facing an angry Vitali.

If Vitali feels like he wants to literally kill Haye and take his head off, which it sounds like he does in the interviews....Then I worry for Haye.

Can't wait for the fight though! :happy

He had trouble moving quick enough against Monte and before that against Mormeck. Whether he can get away with a similar performance against VK is questionable.

Haye needs to seriously up his work rate if hes gonna win. I think people do udner estimate how tough Haye is though.

I don’t think Vitali gets as gassed as it appears. He’s deceptive in a lot of ways. What is certain is that his mobility is severely compromised after all those injuries. He’s brave, tough and clearly very focused, but I think Haye’s movement can cause him problems.

I also think Haye needs to force Vitali to lead. If you walk onto Vitali, he gets the chance to use his jab, but if he’s coming to you, you’ve got more options.

From my perspective anyway. I may be completely wrong.

i think he will definitely need to step it up after the performance against Monte. Can't get caught on the back-foot. Like the majority have said on here, he needs to box and move.

I really fancy Haye's chances in this fight, but if he lets himself get caught a few times it will be Vitali's night.
