In the last two years that Floyd was retired Pac fought JMM in a close match I want start the debate who won(For me it was a draw or win for JMM but anyway) he destoyed Oscar and Hatton. Oscar was obviously death in this match but Pac was still impressive and after he beat Hatton at his natural weight. In the same period Floyd was doing Catch .That said I really hope that Cotto will smash Pac to peaces

 

Exactly, thats my way of respecting fighters that people say as the new number #1. Then i give them a beating:hey. I gain much more respect doing so, than coming back in the game and proclaiming myself as number 1, contrary to the majority's belief.

 

Nobody gives Marquez enough credit. This guy put it on the #1 guy in the world. Doesn't that mean anything? an old guy? This guy is a champ who is chasing Pac up the ladder, that's what champs do, they fight the best. Mayweather is certainly among the best, and is also geared towards a fight with Pac. top 3 or 4 guys going at it, and the guy in the other corner is a *****? What did you say about Pacs chances before Hatton? DLH? Was he too small? was ODL the ***** then? right before he got his ass handed to him.......these fights make sense and will be good fights among the elite.

I understand this, but come on now. He is just not moving up two weight classes. 135 was new territory for him and he past with flying colors. I can't get out of my head that Marquez is just a much slower fighter and starts very slow. PBF will take every advantage as he should, but moving up to WW where he has never even taken a tune-up will be very risky. For instance, Pav moving up to fight Hopkins cost him dearly. Well, even if I am right and Marquez loses, he really wins. Money, a shot to fight the best fighter, and he can finish off his career with some good fights at 140.

 

He will give him a tougher fight at 145 than he would at 143, and a tougher fight than he has had since he was at 130lbs, arguably a tougher fight than he has EVER had.

Yes. There is a definite size advantage in favour of Floyd, and it will be a factor, but it is not so great a size disadvantage that it will render the contest a mismatch. This isn't Wlad Klit v Calderon here.

He is smaller, but age will not be a factor at all. JMM has looked great recently.

 

If you want an accurate answer, just wait for the fights to happen. Otherwise, everything we say here are pure speculations.
