Unheard in the pros, but people forget one thing:

At the same age Floyd Mayweather was a flyweight too, just at the amateurs. Then he went on winning a title as high as light middleweight. Pac started the pros early, Floyd started a bit later. But there's nothing unheard of a youngster being a flyweight at that age then growing big. Being a pro so young is what unusual.

but mayweather was competing in the amateurs against guys around his own age. pac was competing in the pros against guys twice his age. could mayweather have defeated the top flyweight in the world at his age?? i doubt it.

that's why Pac is an ATG while floyd is an All-time fake.

Cotto could be undefeated or could have three losses depending what way you decide to look at the margarito, mosely, and clottey fights. It doesnt matter because he was very competitive in all of them and will be in this one also! Gonna be a great fight!

    You are incorrect.

Floyd at the time was the first American to beat a Cuban in 20 years at the Olympics. Cubans in the ams are grown ass men. World class international AMS fight fighters all over the world that span many ages. Go sign up for the Golden Gloves and you will see many grown men.

Are you saying Manny was 16 when he beat the top Flyweight in the world?

    All time fake

No, as soon as a fighter joins the seniors he's facing the worlds elite, not just guys at his age. De La Hoya for example was a bantamweight senior national champion in 1989 and he managed to win a middleweight title in the pros.

I'm just saying being a flyweight at a very young age then growing big happens many times, just most fighters join the pros after a few years at the amateur, so it's not that spectacular, but still happens.

Pac is still among the absolute best multi-division winners and could surpass Leonard and De La Hoya if he beats Cotto, which would be an insane achievement. :thumbsup

Shouldn't No-Money be fighting the tough guys at 147??? Pacman is going """UP""" to fight the best in Cotto... Why is MoneyGay going """"DOWN""" to fight the smaller guys??? and you wonder why fans are shitting all over No-Money?? :blood

we were discussing it in the context of when floyd was fighting as a flyweight.

and the fight you referenced to was when chicken boy fraud was fighting as a featherweight in the olympics. you need to learn how to read. XD

    you fail again. :deal

You might have to explain for the more logically-minded of us why winning an olympic title at featherweight is less impressive than winning one at flyweight would be?

Lets talk about Pacs accomplishments! Floyd has nuthin to do with that. The only thing you can say is that he hasnt lost yet so until he fights Pac and IF Pac beats him then you can talk about how superior Pac is to Floyd.
