As www.bokser.org says that the bout against Bobby Gunn was probably the last fight in CW of Tomasz Adamek who is moving up to HW. He will try to become a world champion in third weight class and reach the thing that has never been done by any Pole.

Probably he will fight Eddie Chambers or Monte Barrett at first. Also there's possibility that we will see him in the right with Andrew Golota in HW debut - it would be the 'polish fight of century'.

The only 1 person who can stop Adamek in cruiserweight division is Bernard Hopkins, but GPB nor HBO can't guarantee that they arange such ammount of cash that will satisfy both boxers.

    Thoughts ? Good decision ?

For me personally Adamek hasn't reached everything he could in CW and should stay there, at least til the end of next year and unify some belt. Anyway Good Luck Tomasz !:happy

Don't know if it's because he can't make weight, I'd rather see him stay and dominate CW. No one will give him a chance against either Klitschko brothers.

Ditto. There is definitely unfinished business there that I'd like to see him clean up.

Really bad move. It's a pretty easy call, a boxer/puncher that get hits a lot and who's best weight is probably somewhere around 185 has zero business moving up and fighting guys that are 220-240+. Adamek will get knocked out by any top heavy.

Hopefully this isn't true, because the fight with Cunningham would have made a great one. I lost a bit of respect for him when he didn't force his management to make that rematch right away. Was surprising.

Frustrated at their current position and looking to move on to more rewarding territory? Sorry to hear that.

Don't really like the move for Ademak - the Cunnigham rematch is a natural and there are some other good fights there.

My Polish is rusty (ok, nonexistent)... what does the article cite, if anything.

Generally this what I've written above. Tried to short it up.

Well, until there are Klitchkos, Adamek has almost no chance to become a world champ. Chagaev can be defeated tho, but being an interim champ, is this what he seeks ?
