Gatti never pretended to be a pillar of the community.

Gatti got quite a bit of attention on ESPN and different American TV outlets. More than what you would expect. Even ESPN ran a tribute for Gatti and Aguello.

Jackson was the King of Pop so of course he is going to get all the attention, Mike Tyson or Ali would get the same attention as MJ. (Knock on wood...if that even works lol)

SAO PAULO -- A Brazilian newspaper says that an autopsy performed on former boxing champ Arturo Gatti indicates he may committed suicide.

Gatti was found dead in the apartment he was renting with wife Amanda Rodrigues in the Brazilian seaside resort of Porto de Galinhas last Saturday.

Police have arrested Rodrigues on suspicion of strangling the former two-division champion. Rodrigues, who maintains she's innocent, is being held in a prison in the northeastern Brazil city of Recife.

Gatti actually got a fair bit of attention.

And really, given what transpired, does the writer really need to write this article.

    What a piece of ****.

To hell with that writer. He could have written a better story and this isn't the first time the media has misjudged or just flat out missed a great story. But, no this a-hole has to go and denigrate the entire sport.

Is it any wonder that the newspapers are dieing a slow death when they write crap like this? My local paper will print a story about a frigging shuffleboard tournament but not write a word on a world heavyweight title fight.

This piece of crap story probably didn't even get a single reprint on the wire service. If it wasn't for the internet there'd hardly be any in depth reporting of boxing or something as profound as the murder of one of its stars.

"Police also said there was a knife wound in the back of Gatti's head and displayed a small steak knife along with the bloodied, white purse strap - both found near his body."

So he choked himself then stabed himself in the back of the head?

Apparently in Philly, Gatti needed to prove his worth and boxing's by rising from his casket and announcing a fourth Ward fight.

The writer of this article redefines "douche".

Gatti's death is huge in NY, NJ (Though I guess I have bad luck with the news) and almost all of the east coast.
