Are you ****ing out of your mind???? Cotto ran out to Pacman??? Was he supposed to let this opportunity to go fight Williams for a fraction of the money??????? Does Williams want good fights?????? Simple, stay at a ****ing weight so he can become somebody's mandatory challenger. He will not be a mandatory jumping up and down like that.:deal

HE only got desicions against the two opponents you mentioned. Not even close to what Mosley did to Margarito. He needs to stay at one weight until he becone somebody. Get a name, make money....... Then he can jump divisions all he wants. But right now He is not a factor at any weight, because nobody knows what is his weight.

Actually, I have heard he started using the loaded gloves after he lost to Williams. I think Paul got lucky when he got Quintana early in the rematch. But out of 13 rounds, Quintana dominated him at least 9. Most feared???? Margarito, Williams, and many others have call themselves most feared at some point. Nothing but pure BS.

I know he got lucky. Zero doubt about it. He was very very fortunate.

Bull****, watch the first quintana fight again. Dismal performance by Williams, but closer than you state. Theres so much hate on these forums for Williams. How can you people call yourselves fans of boxing and then dislike paul williams. It doesnt make sense, theres so many pissy hating fans out here. Show some respect for a fighter with great potential, just needs better management.

Clottey called him out if that means anything to you folks Clottey was quoted as saying.
“I want to fight Paul Williams very, very much.
“I want to fight that guy. I want to fight Paul Williams. He’s a weak welterweight. He’s a weak welterweight so I want to fight him.”

Well, the point is very simple. He does not has the name to be jumping from division to division. There is no incentive to fight him. If he wants to fight top fighters, he needs to stay at a weight and become a mandatory. HE needs to be smart and stop crying. Why would any welterweight even think about fighting a guy who last fight was 158lbs????

I agree 100%. So does Pavlik. When he was on OTG he talked about the general state of 160 right now, and he said two key things. He said there are a number of good middleweights out there, but the problem is they are not big names. Nobody knows them. And then he said, "You can't really consider Williams a big name at 160 because nobody knows what weight he fights at."

I'm actually a Williams fan, and I have been since I saw one of his early fights on ESPN. However, I want to know how in the hell the most feared and avoided man in boxing averages 3-4 fights per year:patsch

You guys are falling for the excuses your favorite boxers give you. Everyone has an excuse why they arent fighting Williams.

It's getting to be pretty funny how none of the other fighters 147 to 160 ever even dare to mention William's name! (except for Clottey I think)

Like the guy somehow dosn't exsist! haha

I'd love to see him show up and pull a Mr T at the Mayweather post fight conference.

"Hey paper-champion... yeah you Gayweather... why don't you quit cherry pickin' and step up and face a real man at 147... Chicken-****, Mother-f---er!!!"
