Word is comming out that Barnett failed a surprise steroid test and popped positive for high levels of testosterone and clomiphine citrate. If this is true the athletic commission won't lisense him and Affliction will have to find a replacement fighter. Rumor has it they are looking at Vitor Belfort and Bobby Lashley. I hope this is all a bs rumor, but this is what I've been hearing all day from multiple sources independant of each other. I was hoping it was false but it's now posted on sherdog as well.
If it is true it just shows that out-of-competition drug testing is the only way to really catch those who take drugs. Drug testing right before and right after a fight is less likely to catch cheats. Out-of-competition drug testing is what the sport needs.

Didn't Barnett get accussed of drug taking while he was in UFC. Did he prove his innocence? If he did this totally ruins his reputation
He failed a test in the UFC and was stripped of the title. If he has failed another one I dont see other than going to fight in Japan full time what else he could do.
