Would Hatton have made the final bell against Floyd if the fight had been at 140?

Little off subject but I remember the commentators saying Hatton had a welt on his face after Pac hit him one time. I remember them saying the same thing about Oscar after he was hit the first few time. We know Oscar was weight drained and dont things like welts appear a lot quicker when you're weight drained?

Hatton gets KOd by Floyd every time.

It's a reason Hatton's father told him not to take the fight in 05'. Even in 07' it's the same result.

I voted for the wrong option. Floyd stops Hatton at any weight.

No he wouldn't. Hatton didn't look as good at welter because he fought some guys who could match him for strength, it was harder for him to bully them. In my view fighting at welter was to Mayweathers disadvantage, Mayweather could have stayed at lightweight, he'd still be there now, comfortably.

In hindsight what made Hatton good in his younger days was that he boxed his way in, brawled a bit and then stepped back at a moment when his opponent couldn't hit back. As time went on though there was increasingly more brawl than box. I would put that down to fighting better comp, he should have brought someone into the camp years ago who could work with him on the pads etc, someone who could work alongside Graham, worked on improving his fundamentals rather than relying more and more on his physical strength.

Floyd will hit him clean and end it.Hatton has a tendency to run into punches. You can talk about punch resistance this and that. But A sus chin fighter that runs into punches hands low will have his senses taken out, if he get's caught by the higher qty boxer like Floyd.

Of course Hatton made 147lbs (well 145) easier than 140, although on fight night he weighed about the same as he does when he weighs in at 140.

The difference would have been that if the fight were at 140 Hatton would have been considerably bigger than PBF as he was with most of his opponents.

Whether that would have made much difference is difficult to know, but Hatton v Mayweather without Cortez @ 140 is a fight I would have loved to see, just to know what the effect was.

Surprised there is no option in the poll for this, but in my view at 140, Hatton knocks Mayweather out.

Probably. Especially with a ref who's not a complete *******.
Dosen't matter though, whats important is that Floyd showed he was by far the better fighter. He'd do that at 140 as well.

And for that poster whos says Hatton wins by ko at 140..............................Well words fail me.:-(

With a different ref I think he last longer, with the same outcome, I don't think the wieght would matter thou same result, Floyd is to good for him.

if it's at UK, if without Cortez, Hatton by Decision. Floyd would be bullied there..
