Who has the best record, but is basically a nobody?

    I saw a thread with boxers with the worst records and I saw a boxer with a record of 38 wins and 0 losses, but i never heard of the guy (can't remember his name :patsch). I was just wondering if any of you guys know other boxer that just fight bums and have the best record

    How bout Edwin Valero? He has a good record but every single fight that he fought was with bums and nobodies.

    Joe Mesi was a heavyweight contender in the early 2000s, hyped as the next Marciano and actually supported by Marciano's family. He had some decent power, a few good wins, better than average boxing skills and a VOCAL Buffalo new york fanbase. He had some tight contests than, in a fight he was winning comfortable, got knocked down 3 times in the last 2 rounds by Jirov. A brain anamoly later and he was forced to take a long layoff. A brief comeback later proved fruitless and now he's a politician.
