Its business Yes. But see once again, this is where Haye needs to be a man and say "I took a better deal from Don" not blame" the contract was bad"... just like "I wont get paid for the Wlad fight" instead of 'I hurt my back"

haye will be lucky if king takes just a piece. he'll fight ONLY king fighters, be frozen out of meaningful fights, frozen out of unification, and he'll spend the next five years fighting kings stable of hobos and Golota (probably a trilogy)

Haye is another jackass like Fraud Mayrunner who has no clue what the hell he is doing as a fighter........... What has Haye done? Who has Haye fought?? This Haye turkey thinks he's gonna get millions of bucks from the networks and promoters by talking a good game, well, bull**** to that... As much as I cannot stand Fraud Mayrunner and all his bull**** tales, this lousy Haye takes the cake........

If King has as much of Haye as he usually gets from other fighters, you can kiss a Klitschko fight goodby. It will never ever happen if DK has enough pull on Hayes career:deal

    just like Vluev wouldnt fight

Now just be unbiased and rational here for a second Chef, and put yourself in Hayes shoes....

The Klitschkos clearly hate the guy, that much is obvious....or at least dislike him, correct? Hell even their cook can't stand the man and he's never met him :D

He has 2 routes he can take, beat 2 guys that hate/dislike him and give them control over him and make money for them, or go with a guy that lets face it ****s everyone whether he likes them or not. It's a lose/lose situation but I don't blame him for choosing the old man, if that's what it's all about.

I'm not suggesting he WILL beat both the Klits by the way, there's considerable doubt about whether he's capable of that but should it happen why the hell would he want them controlling his future. WALDO I could understand but a notorious, unsporting piece of **** like VITLAY? **** that.

It's not possible, it's happened so it's definate. This time yesterday no-one was even THINKING about Haye fighting Valuev, and now he's SIGNED a contract to face him? This is Haye we're talking about, a guy that for the last 7 months everyone has said is a **** to deal with. There's been a Dutch auction going on in the background, believe it.

i'm curious about the options they would have had on him though. I doubt they could have put him in the ring with anybody...David Haye vs. A Grizzly Bear or something. I suspect it was promotional rights and maybe 10% of his next 2 ala Joe Louis when he beat Braddock

I dont agree. They are great businessmen. If Haye beat both guys he would have a ton of respect from the brothers. Like we already said, business is business. If Haye was that good, they would want to get him BIG fights to make cash just like ANY other promoter. Haye went with King. Fine, good luck. Byrt be honest about it not blame the contract like spoiled little school kid. "I cant get what I want":|:|:|

Yes but didn't the "I hurt my back" thing give you guys a lot of fun claiming he was scared, rather than the truth, which was clear as day?

Bear in mind Haye claimed injury before Setanta went bankrupt and there were still some rescue packages going on in the background....my guess is that he was showing a bit of loyalty to them by not mentioning their financial status when he pulled out. As for this Valuev deal well it's only just been announced, I suspect the King thing will come out in due course but don't forget Haye has his own promotions company...maybe he's agreed a 50-50 deal with King for future fights? I don't know, just speculating....as I said before King has his faults but you just can't argue with the mans ability to generate massive money fights, Haye is like everyone else in the sport in that he's in it for the money.

what people forget is that the Klitschkos are PROMOTERS as well. They would have a financial interest in Haye. thats why they would PROMOTE Haye. What is so hard to understand.

Don King does it and people are fine, the Klitschkos do it and they are wrong. THEY ARE PROMOTERS!!!

You never ever heard me say haye was scared. I said all along it was about CASH, and this contract move and backdoor deals from Haye PROVES I was right

absolutely but that was back in the day. King has been less of a large scale promoter for YEARS now. instead he prefers to take loyal, entertaining (mayorga), or gimmicky (valuev) fighters and match them soft to milk out as much as he can. I can't remember the last BIG DK event
