Supposedly, Pavlik picked the guy himself:
Pavlik has been pissed at Winky for a few years, but he was on that short list, and his loss to PW took all the shine off that fight anyway.

There is no big name at 160, we know it isn't Sturm, and Williams already has another dance partner.

Bute and Andrade are busy, and so are nearly all the other top guys at 168. Plus I doubt if Leow would call Green a big fight.

Process of elimination: a rematch with BHop, or Slappy Joe is coming back. I just can't think of anyone else that KP would pick, and Jack Leow would refer to as a "big" fight.

Okay then after thinking about it.

My prediction is Pavlik-Mayorga in September. :D

Pavlik-Bute in April 2010 if they both win.

Is the fight going to be accepted by HBO? If so, HBO probably would accept Mayorga.

    Or what about Vernon Forrest?

don't toy w/ me boo!! actually though...hasnt bhop been looking around for a right fit?? i havent really heard anything about his future lately. that actually would make some sense. pav wants a rematch and bhop would take another pay day against a guy he soundly beat last time. huge balls for pav to do that...thats for damn sure. and joe...well damn...that would be just as ballzy.

I guess Forrest is a possibility.

I just hope it's not Peter Manfredo Jr....

Well, nobody from the HBO list so that rules out Winky anyhow. Supposedly a 'tough' fight for Pavlik. Well, at least not a 'resume padder'. I wish jsimps hadn't mentioned the interview. This was supposed to be MMA week so I was going to skip the show anyhow.

Green has been talking a lot of trash about Pavlik for whatever that's worth.

I would love to see Green & Leon both get KTFO!

It wouldn't be worth seeing Allan Green get destroyed by Pavlik if FINITO isn't around to deal with the aftermath.

I'm still betting on Vernon Forrest.
