If this thread's been made before I apologise. Who did you have winning this famous bout between these two greats? So much controversy surrounding it. Just wanted people's opinion!

If you don't get caught up with the emotion surrounding Leonard in this fight, you will see that he ran for most of the fight & fought in flurries late in every round tha sent the crowd wild & obviously it did have an effect on the judges. I scored it for Marv by a point as he was the one coming forward wanting to fight & did land some great shots. He did hand Ray the 1st 3 rds on a plate.

I am a huge Hagler fan but when I watched this a few days ago, I scored it 2 points to Leonard, 116-114. Hagler gave the first 2 rounds away by being cocky, fighting orthodox, and Leonard landed throughout the fight the cleaner punches. Marvin was the aggresor throughout but didn`t connect cleanly enough for my money.

But it was close-arguably a draw 115-115. How Dalby Shirley scored such a wide margin for Leonard is beyond me.

Also a huge Hagler fan, but Leonard was just more active throughout the majority of the fight. I got it 115-114 Leonard.

It probably should have just been a draw.
