Who else thinks Haye will probably lose to Valuev?

Say what you like about the lumbering giant, but the guy through wearing opponents down and being able to throw at the same rate in the later stages as he does in the early stages is in with a very big shot here.

Haye sounds like he believes he's going to go in and KO this guy early, which could prove to be a huge mistake - the same style of mistake he made against Carl Thompson.

My money is on Valuev - in fact, I'm 75% sure he'll win.

I'm not gonna argue on this. For me it's 50/50 fight.

If Valuev connects with just one solid punch Haye is going down . . . Haye is faster so if he connects with powerful combos Valuev can also go down.

Haye's speed fades very quickly, he'd be a superb four round fighter but anytime it goes past that, he fades markedly.

We've seen Valuev take flush shots from pretty much everyone he's faced and just walk through them - while none of them have the reputation Haye has, remember, all Haye has at HW is reputation - not result.

Nope, Haye won't lose...or at least he shouldn't. If Haye is the real deal then he should run right through this bum. It will be great for Boxing if Haye wins...by dominating and knocking him out.

Possible. I really hope Haye wins by brutal KO.

    Ok...

Honestly, anything can happen in boxing but how a guy how knows boxing could pick Valuev? I dont know...

Had trouble with Barret, Ruiz, Guinn, a 65 y'o Holyfield and BERGERON.

    Yeah...

Granted, Haye did nothing yet at HW.

But this doesn't prove Valuev is so hard chinned. Who did hit him? Bergeron stunned him twice for christ sake.

I'd say even 70/30 for Haye. Valuev looks terrible. BUT, it would be a mistake for Haye to come out all guns blazing. In fact, I think that's the 1 way he could end up losing. He'll talk this up, but he won't do it (if he has half a brain).

Haye's stamina may still be a question (damn, he has ALOT of short fights), but Valuev's immobility is not.

    Think of it this way.

We know Valuev is going to be in sloppy fights his entire career, we know he's never really going to dominate anyone at the top level, but he's never once not been competitive in fights, even against Chagaev, solely due to his size and stamina which seems to be as good as any other HW out there.

What we know about Haye is that he fades quicker than most CW's did, with a guy the size of Valuev who has a jab that isn't piston sharp, but good enough to cause problems for smaller fighters, the Haye I've seen will have issues here if he comes in and tries to bang Valuev out.

Just remember - Valuev has never been impressive winning any of his marquee fights, but no one has ever been impressive against Valuev either.

50/50. If Valuev fights on the outside and uses his height and reach there is no way he shouldn't hurt or drop Haye.

I really would be stunned if a well past it Holyfield can out point Valuev quite easily that Haye will struggle, even on points.

That maybe so against other HW's, but if you got a guy who was once dropped by a former SMW than he has legitimate chance to do so.

Valuev would have hurt Barrett bad. Monte was out on his feet with his hands down when his own corner threw in the towel just as Valuev was about to decapitate him. Watch the fight again.

Fans also tend to forget that Valuev blew out Sergei (tore up Brewster) Lykhovich on every score card. (I believe Valuev won every round)

It was his controversial win over Holyfield that lost him respect in the eyes of boxing fans.

I'm betting Valuev to beat Haye if Haye ever steps in the ring with him which I doubt he will :yep
