Who else thinks Haye will probably lose to Valuev?

Valuev has two things that Haye doesn't, a chin and proven stamina to go 12 rounds. It's likely that Valuev beats him.

 

Valouev should knock Haye out.

 

This will be the start of Haye's reign in Heavyweight. Haye to win by late stoppage. Valuev will not be able to keep up with Haye's speed or angles, Valuev will just be stalking Haye around the ring like a zombie getting hit with flush combo's. Footwork, speed and lateral movement will be Haye's key to success, also the explosive power Haye has will be something Valuev has never experienced.

 

Then good luck.47 year old Holyfield beat him.40 year old Larry Donald beat him and so did out of prime Ruiz.

Valuev does not have a lot of power. Haye's speed and footwork will get him the win, no question. We should all be happy to get rid of Valuev. For my part, I don't want to see Ruiz-Valuev III, a disgrace.

 

Truth is that Valouev beat them.

 

Holyfield, Donald and Ruiz I won the fight. Donald and Ruz I won it very decisively. The official verdicts in Germany are corrupt. (see Ottke, Sturm, Chambers-Dimitrenkov ...)

The Donald - Valuev was the worst verdict I ever saw in over 20 years over boxing.

 

I find it interesting how Haye is portrayed by his fans as this explosive fighter with speed and footwork. Then I rewatch his best wins, Fragomeni and Mormeck and I see a guy who stands in front of his opponents a lot, shows speed in flashes but no consistent movement. Haye was the bigger man in his best fights, he has never shown that he has the style to beat a much bigger fighter.

Valuev's biggest problems in recent years that he is so lazy in the ring, as if he doesn't want to be there. if he gets back to a better workrate, the way he fought before winning the title, he might just win.
