What makes you think that we will ever get to see an unification match between them, btw Don King says hi to you.

I cant defend Haye for his reasoning behind not fighting either Klitschko.

“There have been long and exhausting discussions about the clash, but unfortunately I could never put my name to the fight contract the Klitschkos offered. The level of disrespect they have shown me throughout has left me feeling insulted."

That doesnt cut any ice ,dave.

Only part of what Haye said has been quoted there.... what you have quoted was then followed by this

"As for signing the contract, now that I realise just how much support and interest I have from the people in Germany, it would have been like selling my soul to the devil. I will not be a slave fighter.”
Despite the disappointment of the Klitschko bout falling through, Haye remains upbeat at the opportunity of knocking out Valuev and securing a future unification showdown with either brother.
“Once I have snatched Valuev’s title, I will be happy to battle out heavyweight supremacy with the Klitschkos, but only on equal and fair terms,” said Haye.
“As the WBA heavyweight champion, I should be able to meet them without having to sign my life away. Beating Valuev and taking his WBA title is my best chance of securing unification.
“I only hope the Klitschkos still want to fight me after I have slayed ‘The Beast’.”

As a challenger to the titles, he had no real right to be 'insulted.' I don't believe for a second the terms of those contracts were unfair.

I had respect for Haye when he chased Wladimir around, calling him out. I though 'this guy looks hungry and confident.' But now, he looks like a mug.

I think the plan is clear - try and win a strap against the weakest of the champs, and then continually stand off fighting either Klitschko because he's now a champ too and wants a 50/50 split. I'm willing to bet no matter what offer the Klitschko's put on the table, he will always find a reason to not fight them, even if they offer him a 50/50 split.

If he wins a belt, he will never fight either Klitschko. Of that I'm now certain. By the looks of things, he never had any plans to.

I hope Valuev wins. Assuming that is, Haye doesn't pull out with another excuse.

I saw the full article. I just dont think Haye can really complain about being "insulted" or "disrespected" after the comments he came out with. Like wearing the T-shirt with the decapitated head .

He had everything setup to fight Wlad and then he bailed with a mystery injury. I cant defend him anymore.

Valuev has no skills and should have lost a long time ago. He is not a one punch KO artist. Speed and good footwork will carry the day against him, no question for me.

Listen i am of the opinion that Haye is queue jumping to the title and the Klitschkos have every right to give Haye a **** contract but you can't blame Haye for going after Valuev... more money to fight for another world title which will eventually give him a bargaining chip against the brothers rather than keep having the contracts completely dictated by the Klits.

Haye signed a ridiculous contract with Wlad that included 2 rematch clauses and that Haye was ONLY getting money from British TV which was more than likely the reason for him pulling out... had he had other revenue coming in from his contract he may not have had to pull out of that fight after Setantas demise... maybe he has learnt his lesson and wasn't goign to sign a ridiculous contract again only to be left empty handed.

The Klitschko's will want that WBA strap and Haye is more likely to fight them than Valuev. And Haye will have more bargaining power.

I say he dominates Valuev and loses on points :deal

you realize the WBA belt is a paper title? Wlad already beat the real WBA Champion who beat Valuev.
