What is your earliest memory of boxing?

    I believe that I had seen boxing matches before but the ones that I recall the most vividly and the earliest were:

    Tyson - Douglas
    JCC - Meldrick Taylor 1

    Those fights were a month apart

    Growing up in Miami, it was a party when a big fight was on. I still do that now, when a good fight comes along. Creating memory for my kids, they love boxing (pictured).

    My dad took me to the ol' Garden in ‘46 to see Sugar Ray Robinson against Tommy Bell for the vacant welter title.

    What was the atmosphere like? I'm trying to imagine what it must've been like, with the war ending just the year before. This is classic boxing here.

    That was mine too, but I think it was the first one... Can't remember for sure, was just a kid.
