It pays for it, but it also kills it.

Good question, I've been wondering that for a while and still no news. I would have thought that Haye and Booth would have negotiated the Hayemaker contract in with the David Haye deal, but you'd have thought it would have been mentioned today if it was.

To me, there are four ways it goes from here...
    1. The deal includes the Hayemaker stable, and has not been mentioned.
    2. A deal with the Hayemaker stable will be made over the next week or so.
    3. With no TV deal, Hayemaker continue to "loan out" their fighters, a'la Craig Watson on the upcoming Hatton bill.
    4. The whole "Hayemaker Promotions" shebang gets canned for a while due to no TV deal, and their fighters find different promoters.

Also, I noticed that the bottom of Sky's Haye article says...

That obviously only adds up to two world title fights on Sky Box Office. Are they counting the Soto v Gaudet fight from the Hatton undercard as one of these fights, meaning that there wont be another PPV until Haye (which would be the "fourth"). Thus giving us Mayweather v Marquez on Sky Sports?

Or are they counting Hatton, Khan and the upcoming JMM/FMW as the three, despite not being for an actual world title?

Or am I reading wayyyyyyyyyyy too much in to it?

Finally, it could be a very expensive few months for fights on Sky Box Office until the end of the year.

Mayweather v Marquez, Froch v Dirrell & Abraham v Taylor, Haye v Valuev, Pacquiao v Cotto, and maybe Khan's next fight could all be on PPV. Plus a potential Hatton comeback in November.

On the plus side, it could be a mammoth few months of Boxing until the end of the year, however could cost us a fair amount of dosh.

If sky are going to put the super 6, this, PBF and Pac on box office then I am spending a ton of money. I think the super 6 will be free, maybe not Froch but they aren't going to get many buys for Abraham-Taylor when Taylor wasn't even a big enough name to get Froch on telly over here.

If the others are on sky then I won't be too fussed but I would like it if they could offer me some sort of discount seeing as I'm buying them all. That's £42 before the end of the year just on 3 PPV's. I'm guessing most of the casual buys will be for PBF or Haye depending on how well promoted Haye is, and I'm guessing sky will do a great job. Us boxing fans that are having to spend a fortune should at least get to pay a fixed amount in advance like they used to do with the PPV football.

Yeah, but with Abraham v Taylor on the same night surely it would be bundled in to one PPV package.

And then the rest of the non-Froch fights on Sky Sports, unless they occur the same night as a Froch fight?

    Spot on.

You can imagine Mr Darts Dave saying something like".....we start in Berlin with a mouth-watering fight between two former middleweight champions hoping to make a big statement in this fabulous tournament. It should be one of the FIGHTS OF THE YEAR.
And then we cross over to Nottingham where local lad Carl Froch will hope to cement his status as the best in the super-middlweight division when he takes one of America's hottest prospects, Andre Dirrell. It has all the makings of being one of the FIGHTS OF THE YEAR".

Its funny because its true :good
or it it tragic becasue its true? I don't know whether to laugh or cry. It shouldn't be above the wit of man to have boxing presented by some who gave a **** about the sport.

how are they gonna convince the casuals this is for the heavyweight championship of the world when for months they were told the two klits are the best, i think this will do poor numbers

i don't mind ppv if its a massive contest and a good card, my fear is they won't even give us the option with pacquiao vs cotto if khan is not on the undercard, this fight a week later is gonna effect the haye/valuev numbers because if i only had 15 quid to spend i know which one i'll be buying

Cotto-Pacquiao is going to be FREE on Sky Sports 1. Guaranteed. It's not Sky Box Office.

They clearly mean Khan/Barrera too. Stupid sky.

God I miss Setanta. I means what's a bit of coverage being cut because the wind has tickled the receiver, when we've got Nicky bloody Piper trying desperately to change tack and chow down on the Hayemaker!

I will wait and see the card if they can put on a decent under card then I will pay out for this fight hopefully it is Hayes fighters on the undercard as you get valuev for money out of the haymaker fighters. Whats the story with the Haymakers fighters are they signed to Sky as well. The way it is Haye is stepping into Hattons shoes I hope they dont keep this bull**** up every year and charge what they do for the PPV fights. If all the fans boycot them then they will soon see sense. With all the PPV fights. Dont forget you will have Maywheater on PPV as well , Pacman V Cotto is the next step for them in the fights Sky dont offer valuev for money and never had.

Sky have no right to Pac-Cotto at this point, they have a deal to do all the big Golden boy cards but this is a top rank one. To get this they might have to sign up to the same style contract Setanta did and show all those other cards promoted by them which i doubt they would be very keen on.
